Get out of my dumpster! There is only room for one crippy in here and I am it!!
Seriously...my love and my hugs and my overwhelming joy to both of you. Nealy...here is your plan for the day: You and E change your bed sheets and put some nice clean ones on. You go take a nice, hot, bubblebath and relax---maybe E can wash your back and hair? Put on your comfy cozy, most favorite jammies and crawl into bed with a good book/movie/knitting project etc and the dogs...and E will serve you meals in bed today and, treat you like the birthday queen. Who cares if it is rainy when you are in a cozy bed?
Mike...here is your plan for the day: Peel yourself out of your recliner and dust/vacuum one room of the house. Change your bed sheets and lay a flower on your wifes' pillow. Get two pieces of paper and some crayons...make each of the boys a "I love you" card from their dad...give that to them when they get home.
None of those things are too hard, you can rest in between them and both of them will make everyone feel better...you will feel better for getting out of the chair and doing something small that you can accomplish. Your family will enjoy a room that is cleaned up a little and your wife will love to come to fresh sheets and a flower from you. Your boys wil love a hand made card from dad telling them how special they are.

I am sorry that meds are not working for you. I wish there was something I could do to help your pain. At least you can enjoy the grandbabies and get lots of little hugs...those, sometimes, are the most healing in the world! I am praying for you and keeping you in my heart. I miss you my friend.

MMM, I think I am living today. However, in the middle of the night I think the monster under my bed was jumping up and down on my thoracic spine...because this morning===I am sure that it is broken!
HUGS to all
ME!
Now, I'm not sure when I've hurt much worse. I've taken everything I can for the moment and I'm going to lie down. When I get back up, I better be feeling differently. The rest of the day is shot, anyway.
Just got home a little bit ago. Helping my wife with her antique show. Staying within my lifting restrictions has hindered me to the point where it gets kind of aggravating, but, it is what it is.
Still waiting for the axe to drop at work. Just taking it each day at at time.
I feel for all of y'all that are struggling. Rocco is here chewing on my keyboard.....trying to help me.
It's been rainy here for the last two day. Yesterday heavy, today just showers. Anyway the barometer is down, you know the rest (lol).
I appreciate you all being here!!!!
Big Hugs,
David.
HUGS! I am sorry that you are having a bad day my friend. Take today in stride and remember there is a do over tomorrow.
@Dave
I can only empathize with you and support you. You are a strong man ... moreso than just physically. Your shoulders and your heart bare the burdens of many people's sorrows, their walks with God and their desire to find that friendly face====that is where you lift all you like and I promise it won't hurt your neck.

In bed most of today. I got up this afternoon and gave all three dogs a bath. I made my bed and started a load of wash. I sat in my walker and vacuumed my bedroom that I share with mom and I dusted it as well. All of this took an hour or so and, I thought I was going to die. I just refuse to give up and lay around like Jabba the Hut---refuse!
Then, I took a cold shower and I mean COLD. If felt great! I utilized my breakthrough meds and layed back down. Tomorrow....a whole new day of the same!
HUGS my friends
MaryK I hope you are feeling better today.
Manny you make Fall sound so lovely. It hasn't hit here yet, though the temps have.
Tilly I love your attitude about your surgery I hope this helps you and takes your pain away. Please reminds us of this in a few days!
Cinnamon How are you doing my friend? Love ya sweetie
Superduck Love you my Fluffy Butt Friend! I'm ready for that cruise!
Nealy Don't like what I was reading from you on your birthday! Hope you took Superducks advice. Really really hope it turned out great!
Mike I was just thinking uh oh...I think a hobby would do you some good! You need to find something that you like to do for you that is just for you and is fun!
Cherry my friend what are we going to do with you? Kidnap you and make you rest?! So wish you felt better.
David it's raining here too and makes it hard with the puppies doesn't it. I didn't know your wife was into antiqueing. I love antiques.
Would love to hear from other roomies, just drop a short line in to say hey and I'll hug you! Oh heck I'll hug you anyways!
Hugs to everyone that belongs to the Support Room!!!!!!!!!!!!
So...a little work this morning...a long break...then more work. I hate my life.
Morning hugs (really gentle) to all my friends,
Cherry
Same old thing going on here just trying to get through the day productive and need a little push sometimes. I did ok yesterday and got some things done and that always makes me feel better about my situation and now I am a bit nervous as we are having a birthday party here tomorrow and not were I want to be, good thing is niece is helping me clean today after she gets home from work I hope to have the kitchen done by the time she gets home with floor washed that is the big thing.
It's me and Rocco today. I think we're going to get started on the ark..........day 3 of rain. I'm walking around like an 90 year old man. The anti-inflammatories and other meds are kicking in and helping. I feel sorry for my wife. She has a two day antique show, starting today. Hopefully the heavy stuff will move out.
I feel fortunate to feel the stable comfort level with this group. I talk about y'all to my friends and family all the time, in general, not detail.
Rocco is crashed here on the couch with me. Once I get a break in the rain we gotta go for a walk. He's doing great outside. He goes back to school Tuesday.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
David.
Still in the Dumpster but abt. ready to climb out. LOL The sun is supposed to come out tomorrow and perhaps it will turn this dreary weeks around. Still raining today so how much I'll be online depends on the internet Gods. Love you all!!
Sending big gentle hugs and peace to all my DS friends, I'm so thankful to have this group
Lisa
Still not feeling too good, but definitely on the mend.Aunt and Uncle are coming here for El Paso, TX for a week to see me and my Mom. Hope this "crapola" is gone by this weekend. My Mom has made all kinds of plans, but I told her I didn't know if I would be well enough to go and do everything she has planned. I swear my Mother was a vacation planner in her past life, lol She comes up with some strange ideas, like driving up to the top of Pikes Peak. Don't get me wrong, it is beautiful-did you know the song America the Beautiful was written after a trip up to the top of Pikes Peak? Little Colorado history.lol
I told her it would be great,but...she doesn't remember that my Aunt is on oxygen and the last thing we should do is take her up to 14,000 feet. Mom is 83, has more energy and life in her than I do!! She is something else,83 going on 40. She is a trip!!! lol
So, I think if I feel good, I am in store for a fun filled weekend. Could use it-been awhile since I've done anything with Mom. The problem is she doesn't realize that when you have chronic pain, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, it is hard to make "plans". I will probably just hang out with my uncle at home, while the two Italian ladies go shopping and climbing Pikes Peak.
Now that I have bored everyone back to sleep, lol, I think I will try to doze back to sleep for awhile. This virus zaps the energy right out of me.Of course,I don't have much energy in the first place :(
Take care all, have a great day, thank you for your wonderful support and friendship. :)
MaryKathryn
Just taking a peaceful lazy day today. The weather is beautiful and everyone has left for school work or shopping. That's usually my best nap opertunity so I'll probably pass out after lunch.
Didn't sleep too hot maybe 4 hours. So I'm groggy and lazy feeling.
Pain kept me up last night but it's not to terrible right now. Sort of a good day I guess.
Got lots going on this weekend but I can pick and choose what I can do. I need to do some things around here so I might just work on things here and let everyone else do the running around this weekend. I think after the last two weekends I could really use a break.
Hope the weather's clearing for some of you and you all have a great day,
Mike
