I am in a much better coping mood this morning. Thank you for letting me vent. I do not have a safe place to vent in my home. I pray that will change.
I will get my car back around 12:30. They found a tie rod broken when they went to align it so there is another $130 but I know my care will be safe to drive again. I am very thankful that the brakes didn't go out on me while I was driving. I certainly didn't know how bad it was and my husband, who is usually on top of these things, literally has not had time to think about maintenance on any of our cars. Hopefully once he retires, that will improve.
Have an appt with the rheumatologist this afternoon to check in and discuss meds and any current problems.
I will give him a copy of the mri report and get any thoughts that he may have on pain management as he has a sub specialty in it.. I am grateful that I only have to wait a week for the injection. They have worked well for me in the past so I am very hopeful that they (I have to have two levels) will work again.
I am praying for each of you and will try to do better at acknowledging each of you in the future. Have a great, painfree day if at all possible. Big gentle hugs to all,
Meliinda
Had a good day. Talked with rheum and he wants me to try tramadol again but not the long acting. It made me too thirsty. I am not sure it helped with pain but I am willing to give it another try. He is down to two days a week so I am going to transfer opiate management to my pain specialist. I do not anticipate any problems in doing so and feel it is the appropriate thing to do.
Need to do my dishes and get in bed. Good night and rest well.
Melinda
Hope all of you found at least something to enjoy. It was a beautiful, mild, sunny day here.
IT is awful quiet Melinda. Hope everyone is OK.
@Nealy=So glad you had a good day.Sounds like you had fun being your old self, who wouldnt? Must be a great feeling, happy for you.:)
Me=doing little better with the pain; go to the Pain Mgmt Dr in the morning to get results of the MRI. Don;t know why, I have had so many MRI's in my life, but I'm a little scared to here the results.
I guess because if it is something new with my spine going on, the only resource is surgery. He told me that already. Say a prayer for me, please,if you would. Thank you so much.
I will keep my hopes up, and will let you know tomorrow what happens.
Have a wonderful night everyone, and I wish you a low pain night.
Love and hugs..........MaryKathryn
In the afternoon, I colored my Sister's hair, went to PT and made apple crisp. Lots of puttering along the way.
My other shoulder was hurting terribly his morning so my PT asked me if I'd done anything different to cause it. I told her I couldn't think of anything...then I remembered removing a heavy AC from my bedroom window, yesterday...with no help. Duh....not doing too well, tonight.
Nealy...yay! It sounds like you really enjoyed your day. We have to seize those moments when they present themselves!
MK...I'm thinking very positive thoughts. Do you know for sure that they have the results, this time?
Melinda...I'll try to be a little noisier, tomorrow! It's going to be another day wih little time to sit, I'm afraid. If I can move when it's over, I'll check in!
Hugs to all,
Cherry
It's been a long hard day. I did accomplish the last mowing of the year so now I can start swapping out the summer equipment for the winter stuff.
I promised myself I'd be prepared for when winter hits this year. The yard looks great except for the trimming I need to do, but I'll do that a little at a time at my own pace.
I really messed up myself today but I don't feel too bad right now. I'm actually kind of tired so maybe I'll get some sleep tonight.
The kids are out of school tomorrow so it's going to be busy here tomorrow and if I get another pretty day I'll do some more work outside. I'm not feeling as down and even though I'm paying for everything I did today, I feel good that I accomplished something.
Hope you all have a good Friday tomorrow,
Mike
It is too quiet around here. If you are hurting then say so. If you need hugs say so. If you need to vent then vent. Just go for it roomies. We all are family here remember? And friends. We support and encourage each other so bring it on!
Yesterday I swept my floors and did a little laundry. Took a shower. This was enough to wipe me out. Today was a day of rest. I did get outside with my dogs a few times to enjoy this beautiful day. I hope everyone is having the same weather I am. I could handle this all year long.
May you all have a restful evening,
Toni
I don't even think I was on my computer yesterday. I finally got a couple of things done around the house. I did use my phone to go on line sitting in Starbucks, waiting for Best Buy to open.
I'm doing OK this morning. The SCS is still helping.
I hope that everyone has a good day today!!
Big Hugs,
David.
I have read that last few days for everyone while I was gone and all I have to say is this
HUGE HUGS HUGE HUGS HUGE HUGS!!!!!!!
Sounds like everyone needs them right now----they are giant, support, embracing, loving, kind hugs and, they don't hurt--I promise!
ME.....getting back to normal and, I am so thankful that I don't have internal organ pain on a daily basis.
HUGS to all of you my friends.
After a very good morning yesterday, things caught up and I spent the rest of the day in bed. But it still felt great to have those few. relatively good hours.
We're going to try to get a few things done today. Have to get wood up before it rains next wk. But it should be a great day to work outside.
I hope that ea. of you have at least one good thing happen for you today. Yesterday, my one good thing was Hubby and I having enough "umph" to stop off and visit my sis. We so rarely leave our "den" out here in the sticks:>}
I slept for 4 hours last night, I know, doesn't sound like much but it's better than it has been.
I feel good this morning, yes, good, pain's not bad and I feel rested even though I'm not. Oh well, I don't get it but I'll take it.
Got the wife off in good time this morning and the kids are already going 100 mph since they're out of school today. Can't figure why I have to pry them out of bed on a school day but then when they get a day off they get up early.
I haven't felt this good in quite awhile, I have a few things I'd like to work on today but I don't intend to pull a smooth move and hurt myself.
Going to try to catch the chat later today, hope to see alot of you there,
Mike
But today is better. Woke up in less pain and my feet are not completely frozen today. It is supposed to be a really nice weekend with warm temps and no more rain so i'm hopeful I'll be feeling much better.
My heart goes out to all of you who are struggling, We are strong people, we deal with a lot and yet you all are still here to help others. Big gentle hugs to everyone,
Lisa
I'm going to be off the computer for a couple of days, I will check my messages and "hugs".
If you read my status; I was diagnosed with a central nervous condition;neurological,my spinal cord is involved. I suppose it is something like MS;but Dr. said a little worse (?).
Yes, I need my friends, I am in total shock right now; I never, ever thought my MRI would show something so bad.
Please,if you will, say a prayer for me and I promise to you,my dear friends I will be back as soon as my mind is a little clearer.
Love you all;Thank you so much for the support.
Love and BIG HUGS,
MaryKathryn
Today has been another sleep on and off day. I made a drs appt and go in 2 wks. I will bring it up about this extreme fatigue. She knows I get fatigue, but this is beyond what's normal for me.
My legs are shutting down more on me too. I'm in a big ol flare up and ready for it to end. I can't even blame it on the weather, because it's been great around here and I can't even get out and enjoy it.
MaryKathryn so sorry for your dx. Try to think of it as now you know what is going on and now you can do something about it. Sending prayers your way.
Have a good weekend everyone and Hugs,
Toni
Usually, I can get through it no matter how bad I feel, but something made my cervical pain so bad that it took over the whole side of my body. I took my neurontin earlier than usual and that, along with my pain med, had me feeling so dizzy that no one would have wanted me near them with a pair of scissors!
MaryKathryn....please don't disappear for too long. You don't have to respond to everyone's problems....just let us support you! You add so much to our DS family just by being here.
I hope everyone finds joy and blessings this weekend...
