Melinda these posts on here are meant to share how you are feeling whether that is good or bad. :) Go for it. You're also welcome to write as long as you want, this helps us get to know you and know how you are feeling. Many prayers.
Superduck I know you are feeling really bad. Get lots of rest and get well soon. Much love and Many ((((((HUGS)))))
Mike so sorry you are hurting at this point. Please allow yourself
that it's not a wasted day it's a rested day! That can mean a whole lot. Wasn't the reason for getting this way in the first place worth it? Son's celebrating award! (((((((HUGS))))))))
I wish I had the energy to type to each of you individually;but I just don't. The cooler weather here in Colorado; going from 90's in the day and down to 40's at night, I just can't handle that much of a temperature drop.
I know alot of you are hurting also, and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Let's hope that we have a good report from everyone one of these days!! Love you all.
I've been pretty much resting, I feel like a lazy bum,but you know what? I am tired, hurting and if I want to sleep, I will. Noone in my family understands that, but I just don't care anymore. I'm going to do what I feel like doing instead of what everyone wants me to do. I know there are others here that don't have the support of their families, either. Its' so very hard to deal with.
Love and hugs to you all...thank you for listening to my rant; hopefully this will be a good week for all of us.
Thank you for being my "supportive family". I really appreciate each and every one of you. HUGS!!!!
MaryKathryn
Hope you all had a nice weekend and start your week off in a positive outlook and a cooperative body. LOL Welcome to any new members. We're so happy you're here (not happy for your pain though, of course!!)
It's in the low 40's in North Carolina. It's funny......I have three layers on, plus a big old winter coat with a hood, walking Rocco, who is helping me right now. I need to watch him because he is starting to get chunks bitten off of my keyboard.
I'm a little stiff this morning. Had a great weekend. Those who are hurting, I hope you get to feeling better. Got some stuff going on today, but nothing major.
I hope y'all have a great day!!
Big Hugs,
David.
MK...Sorry to hear that you are having such a nasty flare. I hope for better, low pain days for you very soon.
Duckie, I sure hope you are feeling better...you poor fluffy thing.
sweetlife...I hope that someone can help you to get your hand straightened out soon. I am guessing that NYC is a good place for that to happen..good luck!
Toni...Hope you can get that microphone soon, my friend.
sadlisa... I can relate to the cold and rain...and to it causing a hike in the pain. Do you live in New England by chance? We have been having that same weather pattern. Ouch.
lindyeaton...From the sounds of it, I cannot blame you for not wanting to see the nasty PA again..and that should be your choice. If you do, in fact, have to see him, lay down the ground rules, and don't allow him to treat you badly. There are far too many medical "professionals" (and I use the term loosely for some of them!) who enjoy their status, and power, and think they can treat their patients like dirt. I am so sorry that this guy has been disrespectful, and treated you badly. I hope your next appointment goes well. Please keep us posted!
Mike...I can sure relate to the screaming knees. Mine scream loudly, most every day. I can't seem to shut them up. Finally going to a new ortho doc in Boston in December..have been waiting for the appointment since April or so. Hope your knees start whispering soon.
Nealy...I can sure relate to missing coffee with mom. I miss mine as well. So glad we all have each other here. It sure does feel like family! Sounds like you have been busy. Please don't overdo, or you will have screaming body parts just like Mike!
David..It is always great to see you here..you are such an inspiration. 40s is cold for NC, isn't it? No wonder you're stiff! Hope the sun shines on your today!
To everyone else that I missed, I think of you often, with a smile. I hope you are all hanging in there, and not hurting too much. For those who are hurting, I hope that the days ahead are better. As the seasons change, it seems that the pain does as well. For some of us it gets better, and for some, worse. So glad we have each other to get through.
As for me, I am still waiting to hear about the job I interviewed for last week. I REALLY want it, but there were several applicants, many of whom, I am sure, are far more qualified than I. Will keep you posted.
The cold and rain are wreaking havoc with my knees, and for some reason, am having issues with my shoulder as well. Had to stop the tummy meds for awhile, as they were making my heart race, and making me feel weird. (yes, I CAN tell, lol) Hopefully I'll be ok, and will be able to start them back up again soon.
I have been on an emotional roller coaster for awhile now. Probably good ol hormones. Menopause sucks out loud. Also dealing with the insomnia cycle again... OK, whining over! :)
Sending love and hugs out to all.
Thanks CH, my knees are not so loud today.
I've got a phone appointment set up with my disability lawyer this morning so I don't have to drive all the way to town, yeah! After that maybe I can sleep for a little bit.
I'd like to accomplish a few things today but we'll see. If I do, great, if not, oh well. I'm not going to pressure myself about it.
I have a physical and lab work on Wednesday and I have to starve myself Tuesday night. It wouldn't be so hard if I was sleeping but I haven't and I'm sure it will be hard to be up all night and not eat. I'm a little nervous about the test and the physical, I just wonder what else could go wrong. Just my positive attitude I guess.
Sorry I haven't been around much, I've been wollowing and I don't like to be around people when I get that way. Things have been hard and somedays it feels like that light at the end of the tunnel just went out. I'm trying hard to pick myself back up but all the happy pills I take just aren't enough to do it sometimes.
I feel like there are two parts of me at war with each other right now. My mind and my body. My mind makes more sense but my body always seems to win. I'm very discusted with myself and I'm not getting anything done.
I hope your all in decent condition and I'll try to make the chat later today,
Mike
Apparently my insurance lady called my employer herself to find out what they could do to accomodate me coming back. I have no idea what they discussed or what kind of 'action plan' they've come up with. The HR lady from work has yet to return my emails or calls and I don't want to call the insurance until I know what I'm facing... I'm not good when I'm put on the spot so I want to be prepared before I call her. I don't need this stress today with the rain and gloominess.
I hope others are feeling better and enjoying some sunshine. Hugs to all,
Lisa
Have only managed to go to coffee with a friend and get the laundry and my dishes done.
I joined the church I visited yesterday. It was so good for me. I am going to a women's group this evening which will also be good . I need local support here and am eager to make new friends. My support system is fairly strong locally but I need to keep it strong.
I am sorry so many of you are hurting today and will pray for a better tomorrow for you. I go to the back specialist tomorrow afternoon and will post what I find out later tomorrow.
Take care my friends, and big gentle hugs,
Melinda
Isn't it time for a new thread? This one is getting long my friend. Just a thought, thanks
@ all
Sorry I was not around today, yesterday. The massive antibiotics have finally started to kick in. I have been sleeping in two hour intervals between pain medication doses. I have been so sick, it's unreal! The spasms in my kidney have created massive spasms in my back...wave after wave after wave. I layed in bed and cried most of the day yesterday and day before. Today, no tears but, still very slow and gentle.
I hope to start coming back around more tomorrow. Thank you all for your patience.
HUGS and love to you my friends.
I'm here because I feel awful and can't sleep. I actually had a pretty good day. I went to see my pain doc we had a good visit. He's always so sympathetic and understanding.
I'm going thru an awful pity party right now. So I'm just going to journal my issues and hope for the best.
Thank you all for being here.
Healing hugs, Marci
This morning, it's mostly my neck, shoulder and upper back. Doing hair is going to be a painful proposition, but I'll only be working a half day. I'll manage, but it's no longer fun.
Marci...I think I've been having a similar party.
Hugs to all,
Cherry
Have my spinal MRI later this afternoon. Not looking forward to it, or the test results. Checking how much damage my spinal stenosis has done.Keep me in your prayers, thank you.
I think I would live an invitation to that pity party,Marci...Lord knows I am qualified! lol
You all have a good, low pain day. I wish for you all a restful and good day! Keep the chins up;we are all going through alot right now and we need each other for support.
Love you all....Have a good Tuesday....
Gentle hugs,
MaryKathryn
