Dreary here as well. I've been resting a good bit the last few days but must get moving again!!!

My son phoned yesterday (very rare, we usually communicate through DIL as he works 7 days a wk and has so little time. Was great to hear his voice. He is going to a different city for a while and is looking forward to the change. He's been in the same site for almost 4 yrs w/ very little chance to get out of the work environment (can't say much more than that). I mentioned that I want to learn Spanish (I speak a little, very little) and he offered to buy me Rosetta Stone program for Christmas. Has anyone tried that?
Well, am going to try to finish my paperwork and get some other things done.

OMG! I was laughing so hard at little poof ball. He was too funny. I don't think he is afraid of though...in fact, I think he likes the kitty a lot. LOL. Kalla was pawing at the screen and turning her head. Snoopy is deaf...so he just watched. Thanks for the great laugh!

I made BOMB Zuchinni bread yesterday 2 regular loaves and 2 sugar free loaves. Oh, so very good. My son came home and made sure that 1/2 of the loaf was edible. He must have worms.

Today, pork roast in the crock pot with some sweet potato salad and baked apples. Easy, easy easy dinners. I love them when I don't have to bed or sit or work at it too hard.

I am in ok shape...still dealing with bad sciatica but, not as bad as it was a few days ago. The weather has finally turned cooler and I am hoping that it continues. The apples and pears are falling off the trees and they should be almost ready as soon as the first frost hits. Then, I will gather them up and freeze them, slice them, stew them and so on.

I feel pretty decent today. My wife has an antique show this weekend. I helped just a little today to pack, and the pain came. It seems any little thing I do messes up my spine. 3 months post-op now. Hopefully it will get better.

I did it. I managed to take it easy all day and just enjoy feeling good. The best part is I shouldn't have to pay for it tomorrow. Sweet! The cherry on top would be if I can sleep all night tonight.

I've had another layed back day. Spent time with my granddaughter after school who keeps me on my toes for awhile.

Finally getting to check in just before bed. Had appt with PM this morning. I wasn't impressed with his nurse/dietician today but I'll leave that vent for a journal post. All in all it went well, increased oxycontin to 15mg every 12 hrs, decreased night time Lyrica by 50mg to see if it will help with the terrible dizziness I'm having in the mornings and added in a mild sleeping pill to see if I can get some better rest. 3 AM is not my idea of a reasonable bed time but most nights I can't get to sleep. I'm a bit worried about decreasing the Lyrica as I'm having more nerve pain lately anyway but we'll see. He wrote my prescription for the original dose so I'll have it if I feel I need it. The oxy increase is also a trial thing. I've been having alot of headaches and he said it could be the oxy causing it so if it gets worse I get to choose either tolerate the headaches or go back to worse back pain. Its a trade-off he tells me, my choice.

Anyway, off to bed for me. Hope today is the last of my busy streak... I need a break. Goodnight all, hope you sleep well. Hugs and peace,

6 days till my surgery! The surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic guarantees that I will have a viable shoulder to support my neck which will most certainly relieve my neck spasms. I'm excited more than scared. I'll be in another state and far from support of family but I'm a BIG GIRL and will just pack my BIG GIRL PANTS!!

A beautiful fall day here and hope to enjoy every part of it. I even went out and bought some Halloween decorations yesterday and cant wait to put them up, Halloween my favorite time of the year.
Got lots of stuff to do having a party here this weekend and it is always nice to have a clean house for a minute till all the guest leave and I am right where I started picking up after others LOL

Good morning. I've been awake for a couple hours but just can't make myself get out of bed and get productive. Everything hurts... not severely but about 4-5, it just makes it feel like too much work to get moving. And the way I've been lately moving doesn't make it feel better it makes me feel worse. I thought pain medication was supposed to help relieve pain so we could do more but apparently its just so we can be more comfortable laying around getting nothing accomplished; I feel useless. I'm not even motivated to get up and fix something to eat even though I'm hungry. I need someone to kick me in the butt to get me moving.

Meds not cutting it today and I need to get over to my grandson's house to meet his new teacher shortly. Seems the psych eval has not yet been sent to my doc so that has slowed down the scs trial before we even get to w/c. I am hoping probably more than I should that the scs will make a big difference in my pain levels. Grrr... It's not even raining today.

Lisa, I hear you loud and clear and am sorry you are feeling this way.

Good morn...afternoon. I managed to sleep most of the day away. It's cooler here today and murky looking outside. I think I'm feeling the change in the weather because I'm a little more achy today.
I got the appeal notice from my lawyer today pointing out all the legal mumbo jumbo mistakes that the judge made. It says 2 months to a year so who knows how long of a wait I'll have.
