Today is day 1 and I have made it through I even came clean about some lies I've told which was mildly relieving
I am suffering with such heartache that I cannot function
Yet I stayed at work for 15 hours just to avoid going home.
I never known a pain so bad in my life.
I'm going to my first 12 step meeting tomorrow.
Stay strong all
1. Being honest is Not going to make everyone happy as they make not like to hear what you have to say.
2. Being honest may not make ourselves happy all of the time.
3. Being honest can be very hard work.
4. Being honest forces you to dig deep, learning things about yourself that you wish were buried forever.
The important things to take away is that you are not being truthful to make people happy. You are doing this because it is the right thing to do and you need to heal. It also brings character traits to the surface that we may not like about ourselves. It is your choice to do something to change that. Becoming a better person always involves recognizing the issues, deciding to change, put in the hard work and then realizing that you may lose some people that are close to you along the way.
Good luck to everyone on this journey with me and God Bless you all. One day at a time...
