Im scot and i have been honest for two days.

This is week two day three for me, so far I'm feeling really good about being honest. It's not as hard as I thought it would be by telling the truth about things. What I am founding out though is that some people can't handle the truth and that's what started this with me in the beginning.

I am through day 3 and it was rough. Being honest has been easy but the consequenes are tough. I too have tried to be honest but continue to civer up the lies. It does not work. I have surrendered to complete honesty and it actually feels better to get it all out in the open. The hurt is greater to those you have lied to but in the long run, I have to believe it is the best path. We will see. Good luck to all as I start day 4.

It's been a while since I've checked in. I guess things just get in the way sometimes, or I feel like I'm doing ok on my own. Support is always needed, however, and while I might not be getting it here, I've got somone who is supporting me. I've been good, and that's the most important thing. I'm going to try and get back into the habit of checking in more regularly

My name is Mitzi and I am a liar. It has bee quite a few weeks since I posted. I was doing very well with not lying. However, yesterday I blew it. My partner has been depressed. Saturday he had an episode where he didn't even know me. He emailed his doctor telling of the incident, however she wouldn't see him until next Monday. His emails were very dark yesterday and he kept talking of the end. I felt he was suicidal, so I emailed his doctor, against his wishes. He asked me not to do it and I did it anyway. Now he is furious and it is kind of nice to see my old guy back in some ways, but he told me is I lied again that was the end. I would rather have him alive and not have him than have him dead and feel guilty for the rest of my life that I didn't contact his doctor. But as we all know a lie is a lie is a lie...

Hello everyone I know its been a while since I have been on this website. I know that I should make a daily effort but its hard to make yourself face the facts that you are a liar. That's what has been so hard for me these last couple of months. Then today I lied to my girlfriend again. I'm going to try to make a effort be on here everyday and leave a message about how I'm doing.

Hi, this is Greg and I am a liar. Good to see all you folks checking in here. I don't check in here as often as I would like to, but it is good to know that it is always here when needed. The one thing I have learned is that it is virtually impossible to do this alone. Whether it is support from the site here, from your partner, a counselor, or whoever, you need that support! For me, to simply know that I am not alone in my struggle to overcome my lying has been an immense help. To have a forum like this, where you know you will not be judged because of what you have lied about or done, is invaluable! I have had a good, long run of not telling lies, but I know that this can change in a flash. Each day I go through without telling a lie is a victory, and makes me feel better about myself. But the temptation to take the easy way out of some situations is always there, and I am always aware of it. More and more often, I find the truth just comes out,l but there are many times when I have an internal argument about what I should say. I know that I SHOULD say the truth, but those old impulses and in-grained patterns are strong, and must be held in check. I know that we all make mistakes, but I have made far too many over the years and am tired it. The effort to be honest has been a constant struggle, but it is easier, and I have to thank all of you for being here. I hope that each of you has a good and honest day!
