Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I hope you can say 'no' and allow yoursef some healing time.
Enigma...I feel for you. It's awful when your meds are working in the way they're supposed to. I hope they get the answers needed to treat you properly.
Hugs of concern,
Cherry
Manny I'm sorry your pain is so bad currently... I hope you get yourself sorted soon and find the right balance again.
Lisa I know you've had a big week with the arrival of the new precious little one, so please try and give yourself some extra "down time". I understand that you enjoy having the grands, but please set some reasonable limits for yourself or you will end up in so much pain you won't be of any use to anyone including yourself!
Enigma I understand how shell-shocked you are feeling to be burdened with another illness... and how scary it must be to have to face the radiation test and worry about any side effects it might have... but please try not to focus on the negatives and all the "what-ifs". It will not help the situation in the slightest and creating all that extra stress is bound to cause more migraines and make life generally more difficult to cope with. I know it's a big load to carry... but try to keep unloading it here, so that you get support and caring and help to do with all the emotional trauma.
Hey Serenity, so glad to hear that the fentanyl patch is helping to minimise your pain... that is great news! Seems like you have been guided to the right doc... so I'm really pleased for you that he not only seems to understand what he's doing in treating your pain but that he actually cares as well. You certainly deserve that for sure.
I hope that you will settle back into work smoothly David, without any increase in your pain levels... and that the scs will continue to give you the relief that you need.
It would be great if some of the people who usually only read and don't post would come on down and say hello here. Just give a few lines about yourself and the pain you are dealing with. I promise, we are really caring and welcoming to newcomers... we definitely don't eat them so really it is quite safe. How about it?
Wishing everyone a good day with minimal pain... and sending hugs and smiles to all who are in need of some.
Take care... Gaye... xxx.
Rocco and I slept until 7:30!!!!! I couldn't believe it.
I have to confess. What I'm seeing here in this thread is true friendship and fellowship. We share a little about how we feel and usually we get a response that is compassionate and helpful. Even if it's just an..........I know.
Everyone here I care about.
let's keep this thig going.
Big Hugs,
David.
We have another hot one here it is supposed to get into the triple digits and planning on staying inside. Woke up feeling ok so I hope the worse of the flare is over and I can get back to myself and doing my daily duties around the house.
Had a weird night me and hubby was only ones home as all the kids were out all five of them. Hubby was laughing as I thought someone was here and made the whole package of hot dogs and a bag of fries and a can of pork and beans and chili, at least the dogs were happy.
Trust me when they all go I am not going to have that empty nest feeling as I like it just the two of us. No pee on the seat, it is the little things that make me smile.
Take care everyone... sending hugs for all... Gaye... xxx
So many mixed emotions in me. Fear, anxiety, guilt, denial. Family members drive me nuts. My mother keeps talking about family that have died from this, and my loving hubby doesn't want me to talk about it. I can't find the proper support I need today. I asked God and my brother (deceased) to be present with me today and I'm feeling much better about that.
Please send good thoughts my way. It's probably not as bad as I think it is, but that thought doesn't quell the panic I feel inside of me now.
Gaye...what the heck is with the housing deptartment? I think you should take some pictures of the situation and present them. Mold is a serious issue and if they don't jump to fix it after seeing pictures...well, call the health department! Good luck and make some noise!
Hugs to all,
Cherry

PS What do u think of the new look ?
I want to let everyone know that I had talked with another member here and she mentioned that this could be a daily check-in thread. It's always nice to know that we are here for each other.
I have tried to make it a point to check in at least one time per day.
How about all ya'll. Let us know how you're doing daily. If you need a hug, we got em'.
Together we can be a force. Let's see if we can get this thing into 4 digits.
I'm getting ready for bed. I want to send out a huge hug and to let you all know, I'm doing OK, and that I'll see you tomorrow.
Best Wishes,
David.
One day at a time. Next Wednesday I start a week of holidays with a long time friend. Driving through British Columbia mountains.
Hope everyone if having a better day today. Hugs to you all.
Sending hugs and sunshine for all. Take care... Gaye... xxx
