Great post! It is Sunday morning. I am having some coffee, windows open to the fresh air, waiting for my girls to wake up. I feel peaceful today. May is a crazy month for us. I haven't been able to check in here as much as I want but I always end up smiling when I do. Today we are having a small family party for my younger daughter. She is turning 9 and has grown up and matured so much this year. It will be a lot of work today but I am excited to see everyone and enjoy being together. I am blessed with amazing daughters. My hubby has also done amazing the last few months. He has grown as a husband, father, and most importantly his faith. I am so thankful he has finally opened his heart to God. Although he was a little worried yesterday that he became a believer too late. I said it is never too late and we are still here this morning so I guess we all still have work to do here! I hope all is well with all of you!

Great news about your husband. I started my walk with God in 2003 at 42 years old and my life has been a blessing upon blessing. Having CP allowed me to find friends like you and all others.

As always, huge soft hugs for all of those that are suffering, and I am going to have to ask for a hug and a little sympathy today. I just mopped my living room and kitchen (this place is less than 1000 sq.feet), and I was going back to my room and BANG, I slipt and fell in the living room, right now I am in awful, awful pain, and I just got my ice pack, and a dilaudid to see if it helps, I hope it works.

Im in need of a hug today, Sunday late afternoon.

Did not go to barn this week-end to ride my horse, instead almost went to ER, but my Dr happened to be on call. I told her I have swelled up like a balloon again, pitting edema in lower legs, ankles, even my face. Very painful. and very scary. She told me to stop cymbalta, I already stopped Gabapintine, and she called some major water pills and I'll see her tomorrow. My health has been one thing after another

Tipper, special hug to you - hope pain subsides quickly. And also special loving thoughts to anyone with chronic pain that just doesn't seem to pass.

I'm grateful for this group but I'm quite afraid of what's to come (not the rapture). Would feel better if I knew someone was going with me either to ER or MRI test.

@ Sandi I know how scary that oedema is - my doctor keeps increasing my diuretics to prevent it happening to me again. Hope that yours is going down as it can be really painful, especially trying to put footware on and walk.

@ JerryLee Our thoughts will be with you, please come back and let us know how things go for you. We might not be able to be there in person but that "hand" on your shoulder is us all thinking of you.

It is Monday morning here - nearly lunch time actually and I am doing the washing and getting something for lunch and then preparing the food for tonight's dinner.
It is raining, grey and cold and I am feeling a bit down - but that will pass..... it always does.

Oh gosh.... I'm sad, frustrated, pain.... and I've got a husband who's been a di*k about alll....saying I'm "having a meltdown " and need a psych admit... or we've been married 31 years and we are on the way to divorce (i'm coming down off cymbalta - quit cold turkey 1 week ago) and pain was at it's MAX yesterday to ppoint I cried and puked!!! WTF???

I'm so freaking frustrated....I want to crawl into a hole, but gotta fu*king work tomorrow..... UGH!!!

Blessings to those that hurt, are sad, are afraid, are alone, trying to quit something, are in the hospital, are having surgery, need surgery, are having tests, need prayers, to everyone many hugs.

I get on this site at least 3 times a week, to read what other people are going through, and how they are managing - and so I don't feel so all alone in this plight of chronic pain (and other ailments). I'm ususally too tired, sore, in pain, etc to write, because i usually get on at the end of the day and that's when I feel my worse. Tonight I felt the need/want to let yu all know how important you all are to me - I feel so bad that you're all in so much pain but I am so grateful that you share your thoughts, feelings, ideas, and encouragment.
I also feel a need to share that I'm feeling really nervous about an upcoming surgery for my GERD. I'm having the surgery done on Tues. and from what I've read there's alot of pain in the chest afterwards. Also I have an appt. to get a pain injection ( for disc tear and bulging disc in my lumbar) on Fri. I have had the appt. for two months and don't want to cancel. I just hope I will be up to it after the surgery. Too much going on in my mind - hope I can sleep tonight.

It's about 6:00 AM in NC. It's humid. We're actually going to get some Summer weather this week. My pain levels are about back to where they were before the SCS trial. Hopefully I'll hear about the permanent shortly.

Marg, the time difference blows my mind. I noticed that you may be feeling a bit down, but I know how strong you are.
