First I wanna thank you all for being here, I was hopeless before I found you as I didn't know anyone with chronic pain.
Right now I am scared, because my doctors are saying that my pain is for live and there is nothing to do about it, and the worst thing is that there is no pill that reliefs the pains.

I'm sorry that you don't have anyone treating your pain. I haven't found any pills to eliminate the pain, but maybe you could find a doctor who could give you some kind or treatment.

Well good morning America - it is evening here (9pm to be precise - LOL) and the rain has been falling on and off all day - we have had a nice 1" which is a good day's rain in these here parts. Right now the frogs are singing their little hearts out enjoying the cold and wet evening.

Welcome drica - never give up hope. I have had CP for many, many years - some (the constant headaches for about 50) and it is only in the last two weeks or so that I have found a pain killer that works for ME...........!
And many others on here will tell similar stories.
Whether there is something that will help with yours?
Well I guess that depends on what is causing it to a large extent. In my case most of it is osteoarthritis. And it is for life.

Dirca, why do the doctors tell you that there is no pill that relieves the pain there are some that do fine or are you like me who has side effects and it is all a balancing act to get some relief.

I am also so glad that we have a place to go and talk and figure out how we live the way we live and still have a great productive life.

They told me that the pain is for life. However, they are always trying to get me new painkillers, but my body doesn't respond to them. Even with little things, like when your throat hurts when you have a cold. Its weird. Not even morphine worked.

Hi my name is Cindi and I am new to this group. I have been in the Quit Smoking group for a few years.... quit and start quit and start, well many of you know how that goes.
I deal with pain every day and probably will forever but I think I am getting to the point of coming to terms with all of it .. at least today lol.
I will take a hug though. a hug always makes it better !!!!

I have been so depressed the last few days I have been a recluse. I hate when the phone rings because I don't feel like talking to anybody and I sure don't want to go anywhere. I can't pull myself out of this funk. Call the doc this a.m. because I am going to run out of methadone before my scheduled appt. He had told me they would mail me a script. Receptionist told me I would have to wait till my appt. to get my script and to just take the Norco till then. I don't think that is a very good thing to run out of and not take. I am just sick of everything. I knew when he switched my meds something like this would happen and of course it did. Anyway, HUGS TO ALL!!

You are not the only one that gets in these setbacks. I feel the same way at times. I hate that your meds are messed up. Hopefully they'll get it straight. Until then hang in there and here's a hug right back.
