Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Sunny so glad that you were having a good day... sending gentle hugs and positive energy for you... and hoping that it's the first in a long string of good days. Thankyou for posting the links about how to type special characters... I can't wait to do some experimenting with them, to see if I can figure out how to make those wonderful hugs. xxx
PinkyBruno your post put a big smile on my face. The words you have spoken here express the very essence of DS... and particularly what this post is trying to achieve. If we all aim to hold out our hand to help up a fellow cper who has fallen, then we shall all have our lives enriched. Sending hugs and smiles your way... and wishes for a minimal pain day.
Hathani so glad you got a blue sky and sunshine day... I hope it made you feel bursting with joy. We are still dealing with rain and more rain up here... but the sun did peek out from behind the clouds for a few minutes late this afternoon which made me feel so much better!
Serenity my dear friend... I can't tell you how pleased I am to see you here on this thread. I know all about the problem with the patch of course, but I'm glad that you came here looking for the support you needed. Please keep coming back... I promise you if you do you'll find a whole lot of support.
Hello Emeraldsea, glad to see you here and to hear (from your status) that you are coping with your pain. That in itself is surely worthy of celebration... so I will join you in a yahoo! Please keep coming back and letting us know how you are.
Hello sheltoesmom, glad to meet you... and I just love your sunset! It's good to hear that you manage to remain positive despite having been suffering from pain for such a very long time. Keep on celebrating the good days... and please keep coming back here, I know you'll be a big asset to the group.
Hello Kristi... sorry to hear your pain is intense, but so glad you found your way to us. Please keep on posting on this post... and reaching out for support whenever you are in need. There are so many extra special caring people in this group who are ready and waiting to help a fellow cper who is struggling. Sending gentle hugs and healing energy your way... and wishes that your pain settles as soon as possible. xxx
Cindy (curious72) you are a long way from being alone as we are all in the same boat... and members here really want to reach out and embrace anyone who is in need of some support and comfort. However we can't support you if we don't know you are out there... so please keep coming back to this post and saying a little bit about yourself and how you are managing. You are so right that cp can steal a lot from our lives, but in the end it can't steal our hope or our positive energy unless we choose to give them up. Stay happy girl, and come here and share it about.
Hello jokat1 and welcome... it's so good to see you taking the step to move from being a reader to a poster. It sounds like you have a lot going on with your health, which is all the more reason to keep coming here and telling us about it... because then we can reach out to you with support and walk beside you on your journey. Most of us would have experienced the phenomenon of other people not understanding our pain and the limitations that it can place on us. We know how it feels and we are all in the same boat here... so you might as well climb aboard and have some support and company along the way.
I really, really hope all the newbies, and the new posters, will keep coming back and posting a little bit more about yourselves and how you are coping (or not whichever is the case). We are here to support you... and all of you are just as welcome and just as important to the group as any member even if they've been here since the day 1 of DS. Let us know who you are and that you are out there people... because until you do how can we welcome you into the group!
I'm sending out lots of gentle comforting hugs and warm smiles for all of us who live with pain. Take care... Gaye... xxx
I saw the picture of your Grandson. You must be proud of him. You have been a Blessing to this group and I want to thank you for that. I hope you get to feeling better, and come back and tell us.
We can keep this thread going for as long as we're allowed. I don't think there's a limit. Thanks again to all who are, and keep on, participating in this truly supportive venture.
David.
For some reason I keep thinking today is Thursday. It's Wednesday. I know it's not because of Memorial Day............
))))) I had to work (((((.
Today I started off the same way I usually do, with gratitude. I am grateful for all the wonderful people, places, and things, that I have been Blessed with. Then I am a Spiritual person.....most of the time....until I want to drive. As long as I remember that I'm still driving with a learner's permit, I'll be OK.
David.
A beautiful day today, all the Spring flowers are out, it is good to be alive.
Blessings to all of you,
Mary
It's so nice to come here and see the positive messages that people have left. However that doesn't mean that if you are struggling or suffering or feeling lonely or just plain old downhearted, that you can't come to this topic and post about what is going on for you.
We just want to hear from everyone on this post... and just as often as you can. I reckon there's still some more "readers not posters" out in DS land who could jump in here and say hello and let us know a little bit about where they are at right not and what's happening with them
So come on and jump right in... I promise the water's warm and there are no sharks to bite you, so you'll be totally safe.
Well have a great day peoples... wishing you all a day of minimal pain and lots of reasons to make you smile.
Take care... Gaye... xxx
I am sending you a message.
David.
The SCS trial decreased my pain by more than 50% at times, and also decreased the need for all of the meds I was taking.
Hopefully it will all work out. It's almost scary because it's finally looking like it's going to happen.
Can I get a YAHOO!!!!!
David.
