Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Just want it to stop. lossing hope. so tired.
Kallie
Sunny - you can cry on my shoulder if I can cry on yours. :)
You have friends.
David.
I love coming here and reading that I'm not alone! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm glad that you stopped in. Please don't feel like you won't fit in. I just read on this site for a little while before I decided that this daily pain, with nobody that understood, had to have something done about it. That was in July of 2010, 9 months after my car accident.
I know it's not easy, but even if you try to come to this thread once a day and let other people who suffer from the same things as you, get to know you a little bit, you may be helping somebody else and not even know it.
Consider it, and I wish you well, and I hope you feel better.
David.
You go ahead and cry on my shoulder any time you need to!
That's what friends are for.
Keeping you in my prayers
I usualy don't fit in as well and I'm new here, but I think that this group will "save my life". We all understand each other and nodobody is judging us in here. So, for me, is the best place in the world to have a talk.
we are all here due to pain, any type and kind of pain. it dosn't matter.
It seems like alot of you are having a bad pain day. I'm sending low pain vibes and hugs your way.
My pain hasn't been controlled well here the last few months so i'm with you. I'm pretty young so the docs don't like to up my pain meds either. I wish i didn't have to take them!
anyhoo hugs to all
Sunny - ;)
Being in chronic pain it seems this is the only place I fit in at times. :)
Hugs
Kallie
We are all different, yet the same.
Where are the people who are reading. I welcome you to come out. Be a part of us.
David.
I'm just a reader..but when i saw this i had to push myself to say Hi.
I'm in so much pain the last few months. Its mostly my foot, but other stuff too.I havent been diagnosed.my doc keeps telling me to take ibuprofen She doesnt listen to me at all when I tell her my stomach cant tolerate it.so i'm left with nothing to take....I'm hobbling around like an old lady..limping on a good day. It's getting scarey.:(
So i'm here.....I need a hug and need to belong too.:)
You have taken a great step toward feeling a lot better than you do right now. This thread will keep going.
Until I started to let others in my life I did not allow it to change. I was miserable. Please give it time. Open up a little and you will receive suggestions on how to possibly get on the track you need to be on.
David.
This is my first post, although I have been reading for a while. I have tried a few different support groups on line, but none of them were very helpful; the post were depressing and actually made me feel worse than I already do. I guess that is why I have only been reading and not posting; wanted to make sure this was a group that was more on the positive side of supporting people rather than the negative side.
Anyway, it is nice to read such supportive comments from so many people. I find it is hard to find someone to talk to who doesn't say "Just change your attitude and life will get better."
I have been suffering from physical pain for many years now due to having Crohn's Disease and arthritis and then about 6 years ago, was in a car accident that has left me with permanent neck and back injuries. My pain used to be an on again/off again type of pain, but now it is constant. I can no longer work or do the things that used to bring me joy. Over the past couple of years my moods have been getting worse and now my doctor tells me that I am suffering from moderate to severe depression. As if I didn't have enough to deal with.
I thought that I had things under control and was managing to deal with everything in a pretty positive way, but then my husband was chosen for an amazing opportunity and is now working out of the country for a year. He has always been my biggest source of emotional and physical support and now he is not here. By the time he comes home on vacation for 3 weeks, it will have been 4 months since I have seen him. Wow, 4 months. It is amazing how much a person's life can change in 4 months.
I am afraid that when he comes home and see the changes in my emotional state and how bad my moods are, that he will cancel his job and stay home. Part of me wishes he would do this because it would really take a lot of stress out of my life, and the other part of me doesn't want him to stay home. I am so proud of what he is doing and don't want him to lose this opportunity because of me. I also realize that I need to get out of this funk on my own. (with help of course). Him staying home to help me really doesn't solve the issue. I need to find a way to manage life and its ups and downs on my own, not relying on someone else to fix it for me. Not sure that is making any sense, but it is the best way I know to explain things.
Anyway, I really should sign off. I think I have been rambling for so long here that I have actually forgotten what I started out to say.
Thank you so much to those who have taken the time to read my ramblings. Thank you so very much to all of you just for being here.
Feeling not quite so alone now.
