You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

Thanks Mrs Kolo, Firante, Phoebe and Granit!! Had an amazing weekend. Had a great time last night with my friends and a nice day today on my birthday with my family. Lots of good food and relaxing, perfect.

Pretty sure I'm 115 days pull free. This friday will be 4 months :)

Don't have the same drive to keep my hands down, cos I know that I can play with my hair without pulling. Hm. I really want to work on keeping my hands down at all times.

No, no, yes, yes.

You absolutely can't play with it. That's a slippery slope. Hands down, missy. It has become a very easy habit for me to sit on the hand which isn't in use. It may look a little odd, but I don't care.

Happy Belated birthday to you, confidentic! I'm sorry I missed the day. I was busy with the book sale this weekend. We made $3,000.00 at the friends of the library event! It was definitely worth the back ache! I even missed Inkiri's one year mark as well. Congratulations on making it this far!

Hmmmm seems I have effed up my count somewhere along the line. I'm 118 days pull free!!! Well that's cool :) At the end of day 119. So one more day til I'm 4 months pf, woooooooooooyeah!

    My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending.  She said that there are needs and there are wants.  She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it?  The answer is mostly "no".  So today, I am taking back some things that I bought online at Kohl's, namely a 9 x 12 rug and a quilt for my bed.  I also bought sheets that I don't need...
