You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.
Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I'm in ok shape.. not too bad. But I'm getting really untoned, I really want some muscle tone back. (Not scary weightlifter lady muscles). I did a bootcamp type course last year that was awesome! We had to work out for one hour straight, no stopping. We had to do sprints, jogging, push ups, squats, squats with weights, skipping, pull ups, boxing, crawling on the ground. It was NUTS! But I felt so awesome afterwards. I'd love to do something like that again.
I had the most VIVID dream last night, that I pulled two hairs. It was so realistic. I think I did another one of those dream within a dream things. In my dream I pulled one at night and I was appalled so I stopped at one. Then I dreamed that I woke up and pulled another one, and I could feel the hair coming out and how good it felt. I was so mad!!! Then I really woke up and couldn't figure out if it really happened or not. So the second hair might have been real and not a dream. I think it was a dream but I'm not sure ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Gotta start wearing gloves to bed again to prevent this kind of self doubt from occuring.

I know those dreams within a dream. Only about my hair though. I hate it. Just remember it is just a dream!! :) I personally think those are dreams that are helping us get better.

Oh Granit.... Those kind of dreams suck. Never had one in relation to trich though.
Went for a lovely run earlier this morning. Really didn't feel like it but I made myself. Did some crunches and lunges too! Watch out super fit lady about!

I've never dreamed I had a full head of hair.... It was always the opposite !!

My boyfriend is very cute and romantic. He has gotten me things like roses, a trip to fiji, and a book of photos of us on all our holidays. I sound like I'm bragging. Perhaps I am! But good ones are out there. I always hated romantic stuff before I met him.

Kpratt my mullet is in the in between stage. Looks so silly.. It's been a mullet for ages but now there are no bald spots!!! I can't stop staring in amazement in the mirror.

I have tons of pictures of me and my mullet. I was about.... 14 / 15 at the time. Shoulder length hair and a mullet lol.
