With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

Yes, I must remind myself of that. Well ever since I put the bandaids on last night I have not pulled. Yay!! I think I'm going to keep them on for a week. (I will change the bandaids...) That's one week pull free right there if I do that.

Well I'm one day pull free :) Woo!

Took my bandaids off last night as I went out and partied. Had so much fun :)

Must put them back on soon to ensure that I'm pf today.

Sorry life's hard right now, but end of day 2 is fantastic. First several days are always the hardest and for you to have accomplished that while dealing with a lot of life stress is just amazing. You're a star. Keep it up! Sending good vibes your way. Hope it all gets sorted out soon.

Day four, definitely struggling a little. Just feeling irritated in the scalp area, tingly itchy type thing. Can't find my fine tooth comb, argh!! Will put bandaids on soon.

Awesome! I didn't realize what a huge help the bandaids are until I tried them on my thumbs. Hurrah for four days! Thrilling!!!!!

    My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending.  She said that there are needs and there are wants.  She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it?  The answer is mostly "no".  So today, I am taking back some things that I bought online at Kohl's, namely a 9 x 12 rug and a quilt for my bed.  I also bought sheets that I don't need...
