  I've been married for almost a year now. I knew my husband was transgender when we got together. I never knew much about the lgbt community myself. I knew what trans was but I didn't know the side effects and outcomes and stuff like that. Honestly I still don't know much more than I use to. He told me in the beginning that I made him comfortable and that he wouldn't have to transition because I'm straight and he knew our marriage would be happier if he stayed male.
