  Today started out bad. My uncle had to be Baker acted by 2 of his children and my aunt called bawling and it hurts me to hear someone I love to cry, it makes me cry. He has Alzheimer's and was getting violent. Then I got home and it looks as if my dog may have been hit by a vehicle because his already bad hip looks dislocated and he is hobbling around on 3 paws instead of 4. I cried as he looked like he was in pain.Then to top it off........................I finally get home (after crying most...

  It sucks having bipolar 1 disorder but what sucks even more is that I passed it on to my oldest son. I see so many of the symptoms in him that I have and at 25 he is like I was at that age, he doesn't think he needs medication for it. But he does. He would feel better and would feel more normal. I actually just recently (due to being bedridden for a year) actually felt what a manic episode felt like. I had no clue that's what I was having and not having anywhere to put that excessive energy and...

  I'm so thankful as I finally get to watch the news and for the first time am seeing the destruction that was bestowed on my neck of the woods. I am thankful and lucky that all we lost was our power, that was restored but there are 1000's that lost everything they own. I watched the news and updates in tears and with. Tears flowing watching the homeowners talk and cry about losing everything they had worked their entire lives for. I'm saddened about the lives that were lost but also happy that...

  We faired great except for losing power. We just got it back thankfully. Just in time too because it was in the 90's today. But going 3 days with no power makes you realize how lucky and spoiled we are. It was a bit romantic at night with nothing but candlelight and music but it was too warm for any type of physical anything!! But trust me, I'm a hopeless romantic and the candles all in and around my bedroom and bathroom was very seductive.I pray that all the rest of my fellow Georgians as well...

  Ugh! As soon as the winds picked up, I had to take a Xanax. My chest felt like I was going to have a heart attack. It is going to be a very LONG night. I highly doubtful I will be sleeping too much.

  We are riding out Irma (we are in inland Ga but we decided to evacuate our mobile home to go to our shop that is only 30 miles from where Irma's eye is making it's appearance in southern Georgia. Yes it may be a low grade 1 hurricane or possibly a tropical storm, but to someone that has major anxiety and attacks just from going to the Dr, this is insane. I have already taken a Xanax and my chest still feels like I'm going to have a heart attack. And people don't think anxiety is a "legit"...

  Ok Irma, you are NOT wanted here!!!! We did in fact evacuate! Why take a chance with my life and my family's lives when I've been given a 2nd chance. It's going to be uncomfortable and we are going to get on each other's nerves but no one says that evacuating is fun. I had 3 boys so being stuck in a small office with 3 teenage girls, a sister in law, my son, my husband and 2 dogs is going to be nerve wracking to say the least, thank God for Xanax (kidding and not kidding)We have started...

  SOO, Irma's eye  has decided to make an appearance about 40 miles west of me. I live in a converted mobile home (we remodeled it into an actual home home) but we just got news that anyone living in a mobile home is under mandatory evacuations. The ONLY place that is safe enough for us is our shop. I guess we are going to go even CLOSER to where the eye is going to be in a BLOCK and cement building.  But hey, we gotta do what we gotta do! This sure isn't good for my anxiety and panic attacks....
