  hi, I have posted in here a few times, mainly when other half was really really bad last year. He eventually got sober and we had 10 months where life was pretty normal and nice. He was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and the medication he got put on took away his need to drink or so he said.   hate that I’m writing this, had a good 8/9 months where my partner hasn’t touched a drop. But slowly over the last 3 months there’s been the odd occasion where I’ve found out he’s had a drink while he’s been away with work. And now it’s slowly creeping back to a weekly basis. I can’t go back to where we were before, I don’t even know where to start talking to him, feel like it’s all been said before and I know nothing I say will make any difference.   How do you guys deal with the money wasted on alcohol? personally we are up to our eyeballs in debt because of his over spending and wanting an extravagant lifestyle, which he used to fund by the business he ran, now were not making as much money as he wanted to leave that line of work because it was causing him so much stress we actually thought it might help with the drinking and hes been setting up new businesses that he thinks he will enjoy. well leaving that line of work hasnt stopped the...

  hi, I was just wondering how you react to the blatant lies told by AH, mine goes down the pub 2/3 times a week and he knows I can track where his phone is but still tells a bare faced lie that he's doing something else. I never know how to react in the morning as he will try to talk to me like normal and I can't speak to him without blowing up as I'm absolutely furious all the time, and if I give the silent treatment he just acts like he's done nothing wrong, infuriating me even more!   hi, I have posted on here in the past about my binge drinking partner. He used to drink every few weeks now he drinks with a space of 3 days sober inbetween so roughly 2/3 nights a week, he drinks until he's stupidly drunk doesn't come home and carries on the next day. Then like I say stays sober for 3 days and the cycle starts again.   trying to get on with my own life and enjoy family time when that idiot is sober but he actually makes life impossible. He can't just come home drunk and sleep on the sofa, he continuesly rings me so I put my phone on silent and when he does get home he wakes me up knocking on the door and then comes in turning every single light in the house on, banging and crashing around.
