  I'm proud of myself today. I had the strength to send him away to a hotel to sleep it off which of course only works if he doesn't get in the house first. I knew he had been drinking a lot when I rang him so I waited at the door for him. He was so drunk, he couldn't even walk or talk properly. I didn't want another episode of him lashing out in front of our 7 year old daughter. Last time it got so bad I had to take her to a friend at 9pm in her pijis.He begged and pleaded but he didn't have...

  How do you explain to a 6 year old why dad sometimes comes home from work mean and angry with mummy? How do you put into words what we know is the fact he is an alcoholic? :(
