  I am getting ready to leave an abusive relationship very soon. I have hardly gone out or done anything for myself in many years, so I'm not used to going out and doing anything spontaenously just because I wanted to. What kinds of spontaneous things did you do after leaving your relationship? How did you fill your time? I'm worried about loneliness and trying to figure out what to do.

  does anyone else find that their ptsd gets in the way of making new friends? i've been abused for many years and i find myself scared of everyone. yesterday i tried to tell a friend i've known for a few months about the abuse that i've been through and since that point he's barely spoken to me but has told me i've made him "feel involved" in the situation. i can't tell if i've ruined the friendship or not. i'm really afraid that i won't ever be able to connect with others the way i used to...

  i've been trying to push myself to leave an abusive relationship for more than a year and a half now, and have still been unable to. i know that it needs to end at some point, but every time i think of losing my boyfriend for good i feel devastated. he's my best friend and i've been dating him for almost seven years. i grew up alongside him. we write so much together and spend so much time together and i am so afraid to lose all of that. i also don't have any very close friends aside from him...
