Rocco will be 9 weeks old on Monday. He is sleeping good at night and for the most part training on pee-pee pads right now. I'm glad to see some folks sharing a little bit in this thread.

I feel pretty good. Back to work Monday on light duty.

Good morning ! It's another hot hot day here. I got a message from our friend Pauli this morning. She said she is having to take a break because she is having added issues besides the ones she was having from her meds etc. I hope we can all say a prayer for her when we are praying for others and maybe a hug. We are getting a break from the heat the news guys said it should only be 97 degrees LOL are they kidding
I have a doctors appt early today so I hope I am in and out hate sitting in there all morning it is just for a med refill so not a big deal.

I have no big plans today or this weekend just hoping I can find some enthusiasm to get some stuff done around the house and get my bills done and my running around needs to be done. It seems I blink and the month is almost over and my to do list is out of control lately.


Next week it is my week for babysitting my niece she spends every other week at her dads and then her and her mother live here. It is ok because she has summer school right now as they have the kids that are going into kindergarten come in four days a week for a couple of hours to get used to the system and make some friends so when school does start it is not a big adjustment for their little self's.

@ Manny, I with you 100% with the heat , finding the desire to do something, and blinking your eyes and wondering were did those days go. .......I'm off all summer because I work for the school district oh and I love the ideal of the little one start a little early to get use to the routine and getting to no others.......being off all summer I can't say I've accomplished anything big and that's really sad. I seem to get more done when I work. Lol seriously I have more energy and seems to be less pain. It couldn't be because I'm sitting in the Ipad? No! My goal was to clear out this bedroom that's filled with nothing but my clothes that are to big or I don't want....It actually was filled more the half way with 3/4 foot piles of clothes. I can say it's gone down alot. I've had a few friends and their kids and grandkids go through them. It made me feel a little good that I could help those in need. Honest with some of the kids it brought tears to my eyes it was like Xmas morning. ......now the rest is going to Salvation Army and the women shelter we have here......this fall and winter we will begin the fun. Well I think it's fun but my husband doesn't . Lol He get to do the painting. The main floor except part of the entryway was done when we move in along with our bedroom and bath. He will be painting for ever and ever. I wish I could tell how tall this one area is. It goes up in the center of the entryway to the third floor. It start like a huge circle and narrows as it go to the top. It preet cool but very scarey to paint. Glad it's him that does the painting. My job is the decorating. I love it. The problem is I have expensive taste and it really hard for me to compromise . Lol I still have two bedroom sets, ten barstools between the basement and kitchen and a dining room set to buy. I've look but haven't found any thing that catches my eye. Oh well we still have a few months. We said when we bought this place that are goal was one year( feb) to have it completed. We would work a few months unpacking and things , then enjoy the outdoor and pool. The back to work this fall ( well when the weathers not nice) and winter and then be finished. Oh I'm so sorry here I go rambling on this stuff that has nothing to do with what you post. Sorry . I do hope you have a wonderful, energized day. I please stay cool. Hugs

I'm here, but also in my own little fibro world of feeling unplugged. I have zero physical energy and no brain activity. However, I'm really in the mood to whine to you guys. I'm in the middle of getting ready for this garage sale, in an attempt to downsize before my move, and I just don't feel like I can do anything today. I can't do another flight of stairs, I can't carry one more stinking thing, I can't deal with the 100 degree garage. I'm spent. I hurt. I don't care if the house burns down. Where's Dhamma to whip me into shape? Somebody tell me to suck it up . . . or give me advice as to how to get away with arson.

I can remember in January saying I'll be glad when the warm weather gets here.

Well it's HOTTTTT!!!!!. Remember, plenty of water and take frequent breaks.

Good Morning all,

I have my granddaughter Addie with me today and she will keep me on my toes! I have her every Friday and I love this time except for the getting up super early part! I think we are going to paint today on a poster board just for fun.

Congrats on getting back to work on Monday David. Be sure to let us know how it goes, hopefully it doesn't kick your butt! Give Rocco a special treat from me!

Thanks 11 for giving us Pauli's message. I'm so glad when everyone lets us know when they are going to be out for awhile. I sure wish she would get to feeling better, she's having a rough time of it lately. I'll be sure to say extra prayers for her. I can relate to the painting and decorating! I wish it was over! I've only been at it here for 2 mths. I lost my painter and I still need my kitchen done. You have some grand ceilings it sounds beautiful. I want to see pics!

Good luck on that garage sale! I know this is hard for you in many ways, but remember what I told you sell sell sell and then you get to buy new things for your new place! Put those family and friends to work stay away from those stairs. Make lots of money and feel good for it!

Hello to all from an extremely hot and yucky New York!!!

Not enjoying it at all! Wishing I was a penguin right about now!! Having MS has made me extremely heat intolerant...I didn't believe anyone when they kept telling me that heat brings out all of your worst symptoms and is an MS patients worst nightmare! I am jealous that all of my girlfriends are lying on the beach with drinks, when I can't do either, tried the beach for a few hours on the fourth and couldn't walk the rest of the day!! Yeah I'd rather be a penguin!

Tink I'd say burn the place down but it will generate more heat!!! We all need to be penguins instead. I got the waddle down these days! :) hugs and frosty wishes to everyone!!

Toni, I hope you have a wonderful time with your granddaughter. There is nothing more precious then that one on one time. Two of my granddaughter were here last weekend and I had stop at Michael's( if you don't have one try Hobby Lobby or and craft store. I bought theme each a plain jewery box. One got purple and the other pink. I bought a small amount of stick on things to dazzle them with. They had so much fun with them and so very proud. They couldn't wait to show everyone. When every they are here we try to do some type of craft, bake or something. That way I can keep us out of the stores. As you know its really hard to go in a store and see little girls clothes without buy them all. Lol oh in those craft stores always look on the end caps , they have a lot of clearance items on them. That's where I found the jewelry boxes. Enjoy your day and please don't let her here that you need your kitchen painted. Lol. Hugs

Things around here are better for my mom and the kids and I am hurting pretty good but, really glad that water therapy is going well and I look forward to that every week.

I got up a little late this morning, 7:00. Rocco wanted to get up at 5:00 so my wife, Bless her heart, got up with him. He was glad to see me when I got up. Oh ya, I think my wife was too(lol).

I feel decent this morning. I'm getting ready to start my day and I wanted to come here to let ya'll know that I'm here and I'm glad of it.

I am present..not 100% but present. It's blazing hot again today. My tummy issues are acting up again the past couple of days, which makes me unhappy. I am generally just a grumpy mess..:)

cinnamon, sorry your day isn't starting off well. I'm like you here but not at 100%. hand neck and shoulder have been giving me problems for the last week. Not sure what the problem is. I here of friends on here saying the heat make their pain worse but I don't remember who has said it. I would like to know if that's what it can be ? Does heat effect FM? I know the cold does. It is hot here and also some rain so it is humid. I have lots of projects in the house so it will be ok and hopefully the rain will break to take a swim in the pool it is so relaxing when I get in there just to soak and decide not to clean and skim and stuff.

Good morning all. I hope all is well with all of you! I love Rocco!!! I showed my girls the pics and they love him too. We had an frustrating thing happen yesterday. But I have faith it will all work out. My 15 yr old has a friend who's parents are getting a messy divorce and they have NO money. It is really bad. Her friend also can't see good at all and failed her school eye exam. Well all of my daughters friends(mine included..yikes)are taking drivers training. They also give you an eye exam to get your permit. Something is telling me to help this girl. I don't want to embaress her family(or step on toes) but I want to get her some glasses so she can see. We couldn't find an easy way to do it without them knowing it was us so...hubby and both girls were up for exams themselves. Our insurance covers eye exams once a year. I spoke with their manager and we worked out a plan. Hubby and my younger daughter would go yesterday and my daughter and her friend will go next fri. They gave me a 2 for 1 coupon...so my daughter's exam will go to the insurance and her friend will be free..Then we are working on several different ways to get the cost of the glasses down. My older daughter has a gold card from school that they give kids with all A's for the whole year and we could get a discount that way and she is seeing what other ways to get the cost down and not make it too obvious when her friend is there. Her friends' father agreed and was grateful but I don't think they know we will be buying the glasses....I'll figure out how to sneak around that.
Anyway trying to make a long story short...Hubby and the younger one head there first. I wanted to go to help her pick out glasses so my older daughter drove me a little while after they left so I wouldn't be there too long. Well she is slow and I took her the easy back roads (she JUST got her permit..yikes!!) and by the time we got there everything was basically done. Younger daughter had about 5 glasses she was deciding on (the neon green got put back real quick!!) Dr said her eyes had changed slightly so we figured with school coming we should get her a new pair. Just as she picked one she loved and looke awesome on her they say oops your insurance will not cover her glasses until next Aug. Eye exams are every year but not glasses or contacts. Sooo the bill with her and hubby together came to $430 and I only budgeted $200....yikes. Hubby and I looked at each other and was like....uh oh...great. My concern was I had put aside $100 for my daughters friend for next week. Well what to do. I am looking at my younger daughter cute as can be smilling with her new frames on showing everyone....dr (of course) said it will help with school and I don't want her to wait till next Aug. So we paid for it and will NOT cancel next week...we will find the money...God will provide. Hubby is working alot of overtime so it should be ok. It is hard this time of year with all the back to school stuff and my younger daughter is in cheer and dance and the older one takes piano and singing lessons. But it's ok...I know next week will work out great and we are doing the right thing and this will be yet one more lesson for the girls on compassion and giving to those in need. They both gave up their allowance for the week which I was proud of (they get $5 a week...but still lol it is the point!!!)
