golden years. Cherry I am happy you are rid of that unavailable and not so helpful doctor. Sometimes change
can be a good thing. Manny I hope you are not dealing with something new and if it is the stone that it will
pass. My shingles would not have been diagnosed if the rash had not broke out before appointment.
I would have been seeing the Orthopedic on thursday. Seems strange that you had a couple of really good
days and then this sneaks back.
Toni I wish you sleep. Deep restful sleep.
Wish everyone a weekend filled with less pain and more joy.
I have alot of cleaning planed today so hope this pain is gone, I am still having some kind of pain from this kidney stone I passed or still passing not sure what is going on if it still hurts on Monday I will go to the doctors and they might have to do another Ct scan and see if I have another one. I hope I do not have to go through all of that since I just do not want to deal with it. I know I am sticking my head in the sand, that is what I do best some times.
Hope everyone has a good weekend
Rocco and I slept until 8:00!!!!! this morning. My wife was nice enough to let us get some sleep and she got up earlier and made coffee for us and expanded the area for Rocco to roam in the house.
I feel OK this morning. A little sore in my upper spine, but the stabbing, shooting pain has stopped. My PM r/x'd Lidoderm patches, so I'm trying those.
How is everybody else doing this morning?
Let's see some more posts!!!!!!!
Let it out!!!!!!!!
My wife said I need some more help. (lol)
P.S. Rocco's making a meal of my mouse-pad.
Hugs,
David.
I laid in bed way too long but knew if I got up it would hurt.
So glad that I'm reading here as I'm trying to get motivated to do more.
@Hippy
I am so very sorry about your shingles. How are you doing? Are you in a lot of pain? Do you have some relief? My mom used to keep raw aloe from the health store in the fridge and put that on herself ...she had it tracking on her back thigh. My grandmother had it almost covering her left lung area on her back and under her armpit and she used it as well. I am just praying for you to get rid of it soon and to be in as little pain as possible. HUGS to you my friend.
@Manny
It is not uncommon to have some smaller stones when a larger one passes. I hope that this is NOT what you are going through but, it does seem that you should be out of pain and just a "residual" soreness if all the stones were passed. Any fever? Any trouble urinating? It might be a kidney infection from the stone. That is a horrid pain...I was hospitalized with a double kidney infection one time. I am keeping you on my "lower pain prayer" list too. I am so sorry my friend. HUGS to you :-)
@Dave
Rocco is a whole 2 pounds...Good gravy, any fatter and he might fit in a yellow envelope! Couch potato is good...I perfer Bed potato. I watch movies, talk to you guys and farm my farm on FB. I also hold my down incase of tornado or hurricane.
@Tilly...
Glad to see you! You are not here near enough my friend
@11LY
6 kids and all with a private education...What a sacrafice you and your husband made. It is so nice when parents struggle so hard to give their kids the best...no matter what the best is for each family. I remember my mom going without shoes, only having K Mart flip flops for a whole year...so she had enough money to buy some material and thread to make my school clothes and buy me a pair of buster browns. I had the best clothes in the whole school and I still miss those little jumpers!
@ all.
Hugs to you my friends...Glad to see you and thank you all for your well wishes, your kindness and your smiles that you give me. I could not ask for more from anyone.
numbness in butt.
David I have found the lidoderm patch to be amazing. Good you slept in and woke up to coffee. How nice of your
wife.
11 I am glad you made it on the long drive. So a break in graduations will be nice. Hope rest of the weekend will be good for you.
Tlily I hope you enjoy your day of rest. It is good to hear your voice. I want to know how the surgical side is doing.
you can pm if you want.
Then there is the fluffy little ducky...I received clothes handed down from my cousin. She had good clothes though.
Mom also sewed. I hope your pillows are fluffed and your bed turned down ready for you to kick back and enjoy a book or television. What more can we ask for besides less pain, more money, and rain.
Hugs to everyone
I so wish everyone is having a less pain day today and something good happened for each and everyone of you.
Good to see everyone. A special hello to Tlily and Elf. I miss you two when you are gone! I know all about that energy. David has given us the perfect place here just to drop in a say hello, so don't be a stranger.
Thanks for wishing me good sleep Hippy. I slept not too bad for me last night.
11longyrs will you be my mommy? What a testimony! I hope your kids do apprepriate all that you have done for them and they should love wiping your bottom if needed : )~
We got some much needed rain here today. It thundered and the wind blew around for about an hour before the rain started, then it was just a steady little stream of rain. Not much more than sprinking, but enough to water things. We will take it!
Have a good night and sleep well my friends.............Toni
I know it's Sunday, but with the baby,(Rocco), we had to set the alarm for 5:30. Rocco has been real good sleeping through the night.
Sunday is my favorite day because I go to church. I am fortunate to be a Sunday School leader of ages 18-30. Our group isn't that big, but I get so much enjoyment being a part of their lives. My wife and I also sing in the choir, and I love to sing praises.
I have continued taking my dosage of vicodin and other secondary medication, along with the SCS and my pain levels at times get below 5. Right now probably a 7, but I'll take care of it.
This may sound like a journal entry, but I want everyone to know how I feel, and a little bit about me, and a journal entry doesn't always do that.
How about some more people sharing a little bit about themselves?
I would like to get to know you better, and you can vent some stuff if you need to.
Hugs,
David
I'm usually showered and dressed by now, but I give myself permission to drag my butt on Sunday mornings. There are so many things I'd like to accomplish on this day off from work, but right now, it doesn't look good.
There's a nice, little church just a few steps from my house and sometimes I go to their service. Unfortunately, more often, my pain doesn't allow me to make it through the hour long service. That makes me kind of sad...I always feel at peace after I go, too. I don't want to have to leave in the middle and interrupt things. I try so hard to hide how I really feel.
Any way...wishing everyone a joyful day and though I haven't been able to respond individually as I'd like to, please know that I'm praying and sending hugs to all my friends who suffer.
Blessings,
Cherry
@ Dave...I am so very glad that our little puppy mascot is sleeping through the night. What a good feeling to hear his little breathing! I love puppy breath! I'm sick...I don't know what to say. I am sorry your pain is higher but, I am awfully glad that you are sharing about yourself and opending up more to the potential that YOUR pain is important too. You spend so much time trying to comfort others that you often don't allow yourself to be as important. Sacrafice is good Dave...but, remember that you are just as valid and worthy too.
@Toni
My love...I love the frog! I think it is hysterical! I am so very glad that some rain came by and granted a reprieve from the severe heat. I actually cooked yesterday. I decided that I would taste best with a slathering of coconut milk and some grilled vidalias...mmmm, yummy. I love every single pain filled square inch of you! Thank you for blessing my life!
@ Cherry
Dragging your butt every morning is accceptable. The reason that this is acceptable is because you are continuing to TRY...and NOT giving up completely which is NOT acceptable.
My mom has this great magnet on her fridge that says {"Courage does not always yell. Sometimes, it is the small voice at the end of the day that say "I will try again tomorrow"."}
@ Hippy
I am glad that the shingles are being lighter for you...that pain is not a fun pain and I would not wish it on my worst enemy.
@ 11LY
I always try and make all the events that I do with the children a "good" day full of memories and traditions. I never want them to feel burdened by their first day of school or buying their supplies etc. I always feel sad when kids are with their parents and they are getting their stuff and the parents are saying things like "Oh my gosh, I can't believe this cost XX" or "hurry up, just get it and lets get this over with"....Kids should never feel like a burden of finances or a burden of time.
Hugs to you all. I am siting in my bed praying for a relief of sciatica and SI joint pain. I plan to visit the deck hose in a while and I also plan on having a cold bath soon too.
Ciao!
It's warm here, but the humidity is low, so that's a plus! No big plans for the day, other than to concoct some kind of jambalya/paella for dinner. Should be interesting!
Hope everyone is having a peaceful, low pain day. My thoughts are with all of you who are suffering...and special thoughts go out to Tipper, and her boo boo arm. Hopefully she'll check in and let us know how she is.
Hugs to all. xxxx
