Had to make a 4 hr. round trip to Airport yesterday. Hurt like crazy the rest of the day but was worth it.
3 more days of TX!!
@ Ducky = Did you get a bead-board to use for bracelets, necklaces? They're very handy. So sorry abt. little duckling's meds but as you said, at least these voices are more friendly.
@ Cinnamin - Please let us know abt. your daughter when you're able. Prayers are w/ you both.
@ David - so glad things are improving!
@ Rocket - I love those yummy looking frog legs. LOL
Sorry I missed the chat. Still haven't registered. Don't know why I have such probs. w/ that site.
@Brandi & All,
He put me on Percocet and took me off Vicodin. The Vicodin was not helping. The SCS has done away with the stabbing and shooting pains, but I was d/x by the surgeon who did my SCS with DDD between C6 & C7. I still have terrible spasms and I am taking some stuff for that. I am feeling so much better. I don't wake up in pain anymore because I sleep with the SCS on. It takes about 2 hours for the pain to set in. Anyway, enough about me.
How is everybody else doing??????????
Let's do this thing. Share a little bit about how you're doing, even if it's not good.
Hugs,
David.
Feeling better today hope everyone is doing good.
Cinnamon hope your daughters surgery goes well.
David, hope the med change will do the trick for you.
Not doing much today but want to get the house cleaned up it so needs it and I am feeling overwhelmed by the amount I have to do
@ David
I am so very glad that you are getting some more relief. I would like to see you on a long acting medications that will allow you to have years of comfort as you will probably have some pain forever. However, I am very glad that you are sleeping well and getting your spasms under control. The Baclofen that I take is great for spams and to keep me from getting so tense because of the way I carry my body to compensate for my issues.
@ Manny
I hope you are doing ok...how is the kidney stone drama? I hope you are feeling ok and are getting the help and answers you need. I am so glad to see you here too by the way...you are always a joy to have around and you are a great contributor to the group.
@CH
I know you are busy today with your little heart...Ijust want you to know that my prayers, thoughts and love are with you both.
@Nealytee
Oh honey..home stretch my friend....you are almost through and you have done so well. Your continued strength through this massive adversity has been an inspiration to me and to others. I am in awe of you and your tenacity to get this done despite the terrible sick that has followed as a result. I hope your DIL is doing well and I know you just sent your son back....my heart and support to you and E right now.
@ Toni
:-) hehehehhehe
@ Jan and Hippy
I am so glad that you guys were on the chat yesterday...it was lovely! You are both so awesome and I enjoyed getting together and giving Mike a hard time! HEHEHEH
HUGS and LOVES my friends
David I have heard that often a switch like that can help. Nothing to loose. Also happy to hear something to
help you with muscle spasms. I am sure you must be looking forward to the weekend and rest with Rocco.
Cinnamon I hope the surgery went ok and you and daughter are doing some quiet down time. You both deserve it. Good news for the chance to stop antibiotics for awhile.
Superduck hope you don't run out of water for your daily dousings on the deck. Wishing you less pain. What
a sweet mom to go with and support. I have actually had to call and apologize to one of the pharmacy techs.
She was just so uncaring and then after I let here have it I felt bad so called back and told her I knew she was doing the best she could and that I was sorry . It is all in a day of pain and some's lack of understanding that you are a real live person on the end of the line. I am glad you have a breakthrough now. It is more than about time.
Eleven long years I hope your trip goes easy on you and that you will be able to enjoy the baptism.
You were very missed at Xchat. Not the sprinkles just you and your lovely way of making us all happy.
So next time......you will recieve reminders.
Nealy I am sending positive thoughts your way for husbands meeting with the attorney. This is his time
and I am hoping no more delays. The truth will be known and the truth is he can't work and the two of
you must live. How wonderful for you to mark off another day of no more pills for this trail. Girl you have
done it. You are part of the cure!!!
Manny I am wishing good things for you this weekend. One of them is that this pain will be dx. Take it
easy even if you are feeling better. Gather the gang together and tell them you need some TLC.
Demand it. You are worth it.
Mike I bet by next week the new med will be working still and you won't want to sleep so much.
It is all good. We need sleep. You are catching up buddy.
Hoping the weekend is good to all of you.
hippy
No big plans this weekend that I know of.
I enjoyed the chat yesterday,we had a little fun.
Gentle Healing Hugs.
I saw the surgeon today for a follow-up. They took x-rays and the paddle lead in my spine has not moved at all. He raised the level of work restrictions a bit and was very happy with with the progress I've made. I will go back to see him in 5 weeks.
I hope that everyone is doing good and I'm glad to see people sharing freely of themselves to support one another.
I am proud to be a part of this group.
Thanks to All,
David.
i think tomorrow i'm gonna get up super early 6am and do chores that i can't do when its too hot out. And my yoga too. i haven't been able to do that this past week cause its just too stinking hot
It sounds like things are going in a good direction for everyone. I sure like to hear this. I hope this lasts for everyone all weekend at the very least.
RayRay I hope you can keep cool. Do you have fans that will blow your a/c air around? I know the heat makes you hurt more, so I hope you find a solution. I use to take a bowl of ice and sit it in front of my fan. That felt great.
11 have a good and safe trip to your grandson's baptism. Remember all those tips I gave you! Maybe some will help.
Nealy No nibblin' on my legs! LMAO! They are too skinny as it is!
David great drs visit except that ddd. So glad you got new meds to help you out.
Superduck hahahahahaha : )~
Manny I'm glad you are feeling better and I sure hope you stay this way!
Jan what's up with you and no plans? This is unheard of! Get to feeling better my dear.
Hippy Fall is my fav season. I wish it would just stay that way all year! I hope you are doing well my friend. Try to have a marvelous weekend.
Cinammon Love your great news! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxooxoxoxoxoxox
Today is Friday and that means Addie. She was a little rowdy, but hey she's 6. We ate some watermelon outside and she out-ate me triple time on this! I bet she said she loved watermelon at least 20 times. Ol Meemaw wasn't much fun though, I've been running a fever in the top half of my body and arms for the past 3 days now. I don't know what's with that. She always makes me feel better though. Next week I don't have her at all as her and my daughter and son in law are going to S. Carolina on vacation. I'll miss the little monkey.
Much Love and Hugs to all,
Toni
I wake up because of pain and it takes hours to get myself functioning so I can work...a little. I'm not there, yet and I've been up for two hours. I'll manage. I usually do...
Wishing everyone a joyful weekend with minimal pain,
Cherry
