Good Morning Friends,

Just taking it easy today. Rocco had "to go" at about 4:45 this morning so I took him out to pee, my wife fed the cats, we tried to put Rocco back in his house, but it wasn't happening. I think he'll get better with that. Anyway, my wife got up and took him out again about 5:30 and he did the "big business" outside. She brought Rocco in at about 7:00 to wake me up. So far a good day.

Hope there is less pain for all today. We have had our rain and it is very pleasant with clouds and not a lot of sun. First day of school here today.

Manny good luck with your thrift store purchase. Hope it is still there. If it isn't I hope you find something else just as cool.

David it sounds like your little guy is catching on. Will your cats play with him? Our two lab/boxers got in the big doghouse we had for last dog and then somehow tipped it upside down. Didn't witness this but they got out.
Wish I could have seen that. These pups are inside/outside. We have a nice fenced yard and they haven't been out much because of heat. They love to play in the rain and clean up takes awhile with two. I am glad you
have your company truck. Somehow I believe your work ethic is such that they would not want to loose you. You are a jewel for them.

Susie hope you are on the mend and ready to eat your junk food. You need nourishment.

Sunnybunn I understand about the work. I left way too early and now my health would not allow me back out there. You sound like you have much to offer and I hope you find your calling. I know you are a leader. Have you thought about a women's ministry in your neighborhood.

Nealy I am waiting to hear about your weekend. Hope it was restful and fun.

Stretched out in my lounge chair on the back porch for a change. A cool front has finally moved in. Such a lovely change from 97-99 degrees and high humidity. We may have a storm later but for now its perhaps 80, a nice breeze blowing and sun's not blazing. Wonderful. So pleasant to be outside. Hubby's feeling a little better and is actually cutting some wood for the winter. We buy felled logs cheap, then he cuts and splits (uses a wood spliter, not by hand). This is something that gives him much satisfaction but is getting harder and the days he can do it are very few now. At least I've talked him into buying the logs. he used to cut them in our woods and I worry so much. His hands and arms are weak and a chainsaw is nothing to mess around with.
My little trip was nice. Even though I spent abt. 2/3 of my time in the room resting, I did have some Casino time (mainly in the wee hours of the morning as I get up at 4 or 5 a.m.) No crowds to bump me around. I had brunch and dinner w/ bro and SIL on Sat. They said they'd rarely seen me eat so much. I was starving!! I pointed out I'd had maybe 8 good meals in the last 4 months. A little dig???? Well, perhaps, a little. Passive aggressive? No, just truth. LOL
I missed you all and talked abt. you to my fam. They think its so cool I have such good friends from all over!! Watch out, some day Hubby and I are going to have that little RV and come a' call'n.:>)/

So far the cats are afraid of Rocco, but they have gotten close at times. I'm trying to teach Rocco not to bark at them. All in all everybody is doing OK.

I am coming here tonight asking everyone to pleaseeeeeee cross their fingers for me... fingers and toes if possible!!


I am on a wait list to get botox for my hand tomorrow... they only do it two days a month... if they dont call me tomorrow then I dont get it for another month! The reason I am on a wait list and not just scheduled is bc of office ineptitude that screwed up and I am the one who suffers because of it. I am praying with everything in me that I get the call tomorrow... I need my hand opened and have lost too much time, the doctor told me if I waited another month I would be beyond help with botox (yet they wont get me in!!! (i hate office workers) My good arm has been killing me because it has been very over used for the past year. I am a mess!!

Nealy I've been having that weather too and I'm loving it! I'm glad your hubby is feeling a little better and you had a little fun this weekend. I live in the south part of Illinois! It's a big difference from the northern part of the state, we have a drawl around here lol!

I hope you were able to get your botox injections...if you can, please let us know what happened. I know that handbrace is so very difficult for you among all the issues. I hate it when front reception act like idgets.

I am so glad that the lidoderm patches help your neck...maybe you could talk to doc about getting a regular supply of those?? How is your leg doing? What is the outcome of that mess? I have just been so worried about you and Tipper both with bum legs. HUGS to you

You are such a good doggy daddy. My dogs love the kitties...but, Kalla will be not nice to them if she just sees one walking around. If we have one in the house...raising it...she is pretty cool. Snoopy is deaf, so he just stares at them...he does not know what to think and I don't think he has ever met one to tell you the truth and Moustache could care less...as long as they don't mess with his squeeky toy...they will get to live.

@Ducky, I had some dental work done last week . While they were in they found three cysts. I had lot of swelling , bruising and pain. I do get the stitches out tomorrow. Hopefully he can figure out what's going on. It's getting a little better since I added Ibrophen yesterday but I still can't eat , chew or open my month. So vie been melting popsicles to like a slush. Lol I did have potatoes and gravy. Yum. When every I have any dental work done it's usually doesn't turn out well., so that's the story . Thanks for caring . You are so sweet and special to me. Hugs

I had to go into work for a few hours this morning, but I'm back in my favorite spot............the couch.

I'm doing OK today. Had one little mishap. My wife stopped the car at the end of the driveway, I opened the door, got out to get the recycle bins, but as I was standing there talking to her the door swung shut and the edge of it hit me directly in my upper spine. Ouch!! Feeling better now. I don't think I messed up my SCS electrode paddle, but boy did it hurt.

Enough about me. How is everybody else doing??

firstly, David I am so glad you are ok! That sounded really painful to add onto regular pain as well :(

No call foe botox today :( i am a bit heartbroken but there is still a chance for thursday if someone cancels... even though i was informed that its extremely rare for people to cancel.

Thank you all who crossed for your fingers for me that one day I would be able to cross my own again, the support here really gets me through my days, you are all amazing.

irocket, you are right i should have reposted what the botox is supposed to do, especially if it potentially could help even one person in the future.

I had a horrible MS attack nearly a year ago, destroyed the nerves down my left arm and hand. The nerves slowly healed but from not being able to use my hand i developed a severe hand contraction. It is the most unnaturally tight looking fist you would ever see. It is also very painful and at this point cant be opened at all manually, its that closed shut, I cant even get into a splint anymore, and my nails cut my hand open. it is closed shuttttttt

Botox kills nerves and doing so releases muscles a bit. I am getting the max, four vials of botox, into my arm hoping to give me like a dead arm and hand, relax the fingers enough to get them into a type of splint. then the nerves regenerate. A lot of issues are now being treated with botox, especially spasticity.

I hope that wasnt too long and cleared the botox questions up... it is unusual but supposed to really help. They use it on people with cerebral palsy a lot bc of the spasticity and contractures.

Rocket - We lost our little cool spell this afternoon but morning are very nice. Never been to ILL. but hope to hit a lot of places if we ever get our little RV.
