I hope everyone is doing OK. It's great to hear some good news, but when it's not so good, it's nice to be able to lean on friends. I think it's great that we're here for each other.
I am doing OK. I have to go and get ready for work.
Wishing all a low pain day!!
Hugs,
David.

I am so very glad that you are on a longer acting pain med and taking muscle relaxers....I know it sucks at first but, I think it will really help your overall pain and you residual pain the next morning etc. I am also in love with Rocco and I plan on stealing him soon. :-) I might kiss you on your forehead on my way out of your house just for being such an awesome person.

Well I'm on the couch. I'm a lead-man/working supervisor at work and I went back 2 and 1/2 weeks ago. I was supervising a job that I finished. I got called in the office today and the human resources and manpower guy told me that because of my light duty restrictions, they don't have a place for me. I still have a company truck, they called the adjuster at w/c and he said I could work when they had work for me and when they don't w/c will pay the difference.
I haven't heard from my attorney yet, but we'll see what happens. Rocco was glad to see me.
I'll keep ya'll posted. I'm gonna put this on the main board too.
I hope everyone is having a decent day.
Hugs,
David.
I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon for my little Casino trip and coming back Sunday. My sweet son and DIL gave me a card w/ $100 and said I'd better us it for Cha-ching!! LOL I'll probably spend much of my time in the nice, clean hotel room resting. The rooms are very nice and there's a wonderful mountain view. And pretty good food.
@ cinnamon- I still remember the packing. It does hurttttttttttttttt and I'm a grown woman w/ a fairly high tolerance to pain.
@ manny - you have a right to refuse students access to your care!!!! Please go to doc!!
@ Ray,ray - I'm hitting 60 next month and I always say, "Better 60 than pregnant!!! LOL
Ducky, school starts next week here. I'll hear Mother's sighs of relief reverberating throughout the foothills!!
@ David -I'm so glad you're able to get back to work and the meds are helping. It does take time to adjust.
@ Hippy, use one of those carts!! I resist but when I'm really done in, they make a huge difference. So I take down a few end-of-aisle kiosks and a few people leap in fear, I've never actually HURT anyone. LOL
Cherry, I hope that tummy settles down. Those meds I was taking kept my touchy!! UGHHHHH
I gosh, my mind is mushy and I've forgotten some other replies but love to all!!!!!
Miss you Cinnamon! I hope your daughter heals up soon :). Wait until your kids move out of the house! Mine have been gone for awhile now and I still get upset about it!
RayRay congratulations!! LOL! Can you imagine?! With everything going on and you found out you really were pregnant!
David sounds like you and Rocco are going back to being professional Couch Potatoes. This isn't too bad is it if they are agreeing to pay you? I hope it all works out for you friend. Just relax and take this break and get the rest that you need.
Nealy have an awesome weekend and win at the casino! Come back with some good stories for us!
Superduck I am so proud of him. He is the man of the house after all! He deserves a gold star tee hee! I hope you survived today so you can make it through tomorrow.
11 long legs I hope you are not suffering after going to the dentist and you're getting lots of rest.
I went with Jim to his drs appt yesterday and we get there and the dr never received Jim's paperwork and test results errrr! We all discussed a few things but he can't do anything without those results! I had Jim stop off at the hosp and get copies of all of tests that they ran, now we'll have them if we need them. So once again we are delayed. Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers.
I hope everyone has low pain and a great weekend.
Love you all bunches,
Toni
With my surgery restrictions, they don't have a place for me to supervise any existing jobs. They have a job that has just started, that will need supervisors, so it could just be a couple of weeks. Workers' comp will pick up paying for the off time. Thanks friends for the concern.
Physically and mentally I am just fine, as far as I can see the apple, of course with pain management working.
I wish all a low pain day, and invite everyone once again to come here and let us know a little bit about how it's going.
P.S............Rocco pooped outside this morning!!! We are working on that.
Hugs,
David.
@ David , sorry to here about your work issue ., BUT look you get another two week vacation and Rocco is going to love that.
I hope every one has a great day and that you have the same Beautiful weather we have. We had to turn the heater back on in the pool because of the cool nights and mornings. I pray that your pain levels are down. Hugs and strenght to all.
Just sitting around and still being lazy this morning. I really wish I could go back to sleep woke up to early and now that my niece is up she is four I cant go lay down till her mom gets home at 2:30pm. I hate taking a nap that late because it will screw up the whole evening. Then I wont be able to get to sleep tonight which last night I fell asleep around 4am and woke up at 730am had to let out the chickens really need a automatic door.
Hope everyone has a good weekend
Been missing on here for a while.... I tend to do that when times get tough! (bad bridget!) Thank you all who wrote such kind and supportive comments on my thread I posted two weeks when I became very sick, had over a 104 fever with MS=bad news bears! all gone tho!
I have my 6 month brain MRI tomorrow to see if my daily injections are working or if any new lesions have formed... if so I then I have to switch treatments asap.
I had a neurotrax test yesterday to test my memory and all different cognitive functions. I did HORRIBLY! I knew that this had been an issue but that test hit me hard.. but I try to remember that those tests are not always 100% accurate. God I hate this awful disease! And all pain in general!!!
Hugs to everyone!!
David I'm relieved to hear that you are taking your work situation well. You might as well take advantage of it and enjoy it and also get the rest that you need : ) . Rocco I'm so proud of you boy! That's a treat for pottying outside!
11yrs I sure hope that your swelling and pain go away real quick and you get to feeling much better soon. Salt water salt water. I'm not letting up on this! LOL
Manny When you are tired and don't feel good you have the right to take a nap! Set your alarm and take short naps. I sure hope you get the answers you need soon.
Sweetlife Its good to see you! Sorry you were in such a bad flair up, sounds likre a rough one : ( I've been talking lately with a few ppl about how when you have chronic pain your comprehension and cognitive levels go down, so don't feel alone with this. This is something that I have studied alot and most people with chronic pain lose memory and focus. Please feel free to come to us when you are feeling those really rough days, we'll try our best to help you through them. : )
I haven't done much today. Just a little housework and sit outside some. It's been really nice outside and I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts!
Have a great weekend and many blessings to everyone!
I'm doing OK today. Things got a little nutty around here this morning with all the animals, and two people who think they know everything about everything (me & my wife), sometimes the combinations don't work out. Anyway...
I hope everybody has a good day. Maybe we can have some new people, or people just looking, post today???
I'm still doing OK physically,........mentally????? Working on it!!
Hugs,
David.
