I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting back.
Walking greatly improves my mental health too. I'm feeling less irritable and depressed after walking.

I want this to be a support thread for people who exercise and eat healthy so if you do any of that post here!

I had trouble logging on to DS yesterday 4-22-21, so I didn't get to record that in spite of all I did get a walk in. Hope to again today, 4-23-21. And hope you're all well, amigos.

I find walking really helps when I’m feeling overwhelmed. I listen to walking meditations when I walk some days which I also find helpful and use breathing exercises to calm myself. I’m very lucky to live in beautiful countryside so I also try to just listen to the birds and drink in all the green as I’m walking.

I had problems on the 22nd also. I kept getting internal error 500. I’m glad you got your walks in. Hope you are feeling better.

Rizen, how are you? We miss you.

Newhome, welcome, yes walking helps me too when I am overwhelmed. I live a few blocks from a park with a bridge that goes over a pond and big gazebo. I love walking there and watching the ducks.

I've walked about 2 miles the last several days.
My mom's in the hospital. I was taking her to get her second eye cataract surgery but the doctor there said her oxygen levels were too low for the anesthesia. So I took her to the ER and they've done several tests. She already had stage 4 cancer but they don't think it moved to her lungs. They haven't found anything bad but her oxygen is still low so they're going to preform a biopsy. She'll be in the hospital for several more days. I've been taking care of her cat.

Secouya, thanks for confirming that it wasn't a matter of glitches on my end alone on the 22nd. Glad they got resolved for us both. They may well have affected other DS members on that day, too.

I walked last night, but not so far today because we have a cold rain coming down.

So sorry your mom's cancer went on to affect her prospects for cataract surgery, rizen. Fingers crossed as to the results of her biopsy now.

Wow, last week it was winter, yesterday it was spring, and today it was summer already for walking where I live. It was a joy to go for today’s walk for sure.

Wednesdays are my 12 hour work day in the week so walking after work on Wednesdays takes true grit. But I got a walk in! YAY!

Rizen, I am very sorry about your mom. I hope they figure out why her oxygen is low. It’s really great that you assist her.

Muji, good for you that you got your walks in. I walked today with my dog. She got tired and I thought I was going to have to carry her home. She made it reluctantly. I’m glad I did not have to carry her, she is 38 pounds. Not sure how far I would have got. Poor girl, she is getting old.

Secouya, it's great to hear that you're getting out, though I'm sorry to hear that age is beginning to limit your dog's range on your walks together. Poor girl indeed.

Yesterday I did a rare thing and skipped walking because it was too cold and rainy for it even with an umbrella and a rain coat, what with the high winds driving it. But today I got a nice walk in. It's so, so good!
