I didn't walk yesterday but I walked 3 miles today and 2 the other days.

Pouring rain all day today. No walk. Boo.

Ha! I beat the odds today. After an early morning rain shower, I dashed out and got my full day's 30 minute walk in as mandated by my doctor, did my grocery shopping, and just as I got my groceries in the house it started to rain again. Ha! By the way, continuing to walk every day is paying off. I bought a bathroom scale today and weighed myself. My weight loss surgeon in 2018 said in the first p0st-op year I'd regain 10lbs of the 110lbs I lost. That's why I had to walk 30 minutes per day, minimum. I have, and guess what? It's 2021, and I've only regained 2 OUNCES, not 10 pounds! YAY, walking works!

I got lucky and squeezed my daily walk in between downpours yesterday, but no so thus far today. I didn’t go downtown this morning because of rain, and it’s raining again this afternoon.
I got sick of it and set out in a downpour and it’s stopped now. Washington was losing against the Chargers, so all the more reason to leave home. Maybe I'll get a walk in now, huh?

Torrential again here in the Mexican mountains. It's stopped now at 6pm so I'm gonna dash and se if I can get 30 mins of walking in...

Whoo! Rainy again, but this time I got my walk in without getting both feet soaked through my shoes and socks all the way up to my ankles. It's the rainy season in Mexico's mountains indeed. They say it ends 2 months from now.

I went on a guided hike through the safari park yesterday. I’ve done it before by myself but it was nice getting the extra insights about the plants and animals. Nice change from walking around the streets.

My shoes and socks dried out overnight from my walk in yesterday's gullywasher rain storm, so I'm going to go at it again today. There was a thunderstorm just a few minutes ago but if I hurry I can get my doctor-recommended 30 minute walk in quickly.

Last night's weather forecast said 80% chance of rain by 11am here in mountainous Mexico, so I got my daily walk in early. I had a weigh in, too, and I've lost a couple of pounds to maintain my 110 pound weight loss 3 years ago. Yay!

It's a lovely sunny day that's great for a walk but my chronic kidney disease or CKD has depleted my energy today and I am barely able to get out of bed. I walk on a cane because of it because usually I can push through with 40% kidney function and therefore only 40% oxygen in my blood for energy. But about once a month or so willpower can't push through and neuropathy pain is high, too.

It relates to PTSD because my CKD was caused by a PTSD psychiatrist who overprescribed me Seroquel for my PTSD nightmares until I collapsed and was hospitalized with permanent kidney damage. I've collapsed 3 times and been hospitalized for it 3 times again since. As I live alone in Mexico I have to watch that, so there will be no walk for me today. Maybe tomorrow.

It was DRY in mountainous Mexico for a change today, so I got a walk in!

I walked 2.1 miles everyday except yesterday. I got triggered yesterday because my mom had been confused for the last few days, which happens when she has an infection, so I said I'd take her to the emergency room in the morning. But when I came over to pick her up her house was a mess and she wasn't there. At first I thought maybe she was so confused she'd wandered outside. Then I thought to call the hospital and it ends up she was taken in by ambulance. So I cleaned up her house and made sure her cat had plenty of food and water, then drove over to the hospital. She's okay and being treated for the infection but it scared me. She does weird things when she's confused. She's also struggling with fibromyalgia and stage 4 cancer and gradually declining. It's depressing; I had to take care of my grandpa, who had parkensen's disease, then my grandma, who had lewy bodies disease, until they died and now the same thing is happening with my mom.

Oh, my goodness, Rizen, you really had a lot to handle there with your mom. There are others of us here who went through something similar, myself included. I moved in with my mom when she got cancer, too, up close to it all while my sister stayed several states away through the whole thing. It's tough, but I'm glad I was there for her. I'm glad your mom has you.

As for me, I got up early and got a walk in today but got dizzy again so I sent back home and stayed home to rest. Hope this ckd episode passes one of these days. It's lasting quite a while this time.

Nice and dry again today, but this week's kidney disease episode dragging on for another day. "Dragging" is the word for it. I did a morning walk, but was leaning heavily on my cane for every step. Back home and resting, hoping this passes soon. It's been 3 days of this intense fatigue now.
