I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting back.
Walking greatly improves my mental health too. I'm feeling less irritable and depressed after walking.

I want this to be a support thread for people who exercise and eat healthy so if you do any of that post here!

Did my walk early today, too, but got home and got woozy from CKD in my kitchen and just barely saved myself from fainting away. But I caught myself and got to a chair fast enough to put my head down between my legs to give my brain a rush of blood to my head, and I got it to pass without passing out, It was so cool. I went to lie down after that and took an hour long nap, of course. When I got up I could go on ok. Hey, hurray for another day without collapsing! Glad this all didn't happen on the street during my walk. Whew!

Torrential rain today in the rainy season of mountainous Mexico again, but now that it's around sunset the skies have cleared so I'm going to go for it!

I did get that walk in after it stopped raining around sunset yesterday. Gonna go for it again today. Trouble is, I went to the dentist and he left me with a huge headache. Oh well, headaches don't keep us from walking right?

It looks like a rare dry day ahead today in mountainous Mexico so I've got my sneakers on for my walk already. Walking's really working; I weighed myself this morning and indeed I did maintain my 110lbs weight loss this week plus I lost 2lbs as a bonus. Let's keep it up, rizen!

I delivered on my promise yesterday to get a walk in since the weather was dry and not rainy. But unfortunately my walk intersected with a huge university protest march against the disappearance of 43 of their fellow students here in Mexico 7 years ago. It was so sad it triggered my PTSD since that almost happened to me, so I cried in public, which I don't like to do at all. Hoping today that I can walk again without running into such sadness, poor kids.

Sorry you got triggered mujica. I missed 2 days but walked 2 or 3 miles the other days. The doctors think my mom might have gotten a concussion from falling down but it's hard to say. She's out of the hospital and doing better but still a little confused.

Thanks, Rizen, support here and from offline friends here in Mexico have helped me recover from being triggered 2 days ago. We missed you for those 2 days, but it's good to have you back and hear you were walking. Me, too, even when PTSD triggered because walking helped me recover. I got up at 7am and walked today before the rains came.

Glad your mom's out of the hospital now, yet I'm sorry to hear a concussion may have her still confused. Hope things clear up for her quickly like they did for me.

Hi Rizen and Muji! Just checking in. I have been walking on and off. I finished school last week and start teaching chronic pain class next week for a hospital in New Mexico online. I have been off for awhile trying to cope with my husbands illness.

I walked 1 mile today and 2 the 2 days before that. I have a lot of anxiety about driving, especially out of town, but am going to have to do it more.

I walked, too early today, rizen. Good luck with driving. I gave up driving when I moved to Mexico last may to retire. It was tough enough driving with PTSD in the USA, but out of the question here for me. I take the bus down here, and when shopping for groceries I take a cab home from the supermarket like I did today.

Did my walk early and it was s good one except for one thing. Somehow I stepped in both chewing gum someone had thrown on the sidewalk and dog poo on the sidewalk, too. When I got home I just could not get the aromatic mixture off of the sole of my sneakers, so I think I'm just going to have to pitch them. I'm a size 13 shoe, so sneakers in my size are hard to find here in Mexico.

It was a rare dry sunny day again in the rainy season of mountainous Mexico, so I got TWO walks I today! Yay!

Gardening sounds like good exercise, Rizen. Me, since it didn't rain, I walked double what I do most days to take advantage of how sunny it was. I loved it!
