Muji, the kid was probably embarrassed. I am glad you were able to walk.
Hope he was embarrassed, Secouya, as you say. I certainly didn't try to shame him, I just went on another route to stay safe.
86 days from today and I can move!
I’m happy Rizen that you were able to get exercise despite the cold and you too Muji!. I did go out for a small walk today and went to renew my OSHA requirement to operate an EMG van for the Sheriff’s.
Keep counting down those days Muji. Your retirement will be here soon, less than 3 months now.
I got out and took 2 very careful walks again today in the snow on a cane. To me snow's always pretty the day it falls, but then living with it after that gets dangerous and complicated. It melts a little during the day time, and then the water melts at night to make hazardous black ice you can't see when driving or walking. It can get ridiculous.
Once I had a sheet of black ice under my car exactly the size and shape of my car's undercarriage. You couldn't see it, and it was a sunny day. When I started up my car and put it in gear, though, it turned out all 4 tires were just barely sitting on slick ice such that all 4 wheels just spun in place. I couldn't move my car, and I missed a doctor's appointment.
My OSHA test went well. I was surprised when I was told how much the team has missed me over the last year. It felt good to know they cared.
I am trying to lose some weight I gained.. Its easy to gain, but sure hard to lose.
I hope Rizen is ok. I know he is helping his mom.
Recovering from atrophy is harder than recovering from surgery, they say. Good for you for how you're recovering from both the way you are. That takes double dedication.
Congrats on the OSHA test success, and I'm glad it came with a bonus in finding out you were missed.
Me, I walked twice today going back to doing it WITHOUT a cane for the first time since falling on the ice. I walked gingerly and I was wobbly, but I was cane-less, too, which makes me proud.
Me, I got 2 walks in today despite the snow, but I still have to use a cane since that kid hit me with his bike last week. It's not just the pain, it's that the leg he hit buckles if I put all of my weight on it. Glad I can walk anyway.
