The AAs have to call or text or email their sponsors every day. Since this is the best thing we got, and after reading some of the other topics, I'm going to propose that we do the same, just to touch base.

It's been a while but I'm checking in. I'm lie free for a few days. Lately though it's been really tough. Tough in the sense of people believing me. It's hard at times but I know in my heart I'm telling the truth. I just have to continue to tell the truth and good things will happen.

I am Nick & I lie. I have joined the site to get help on my problem with lying. I am doing fair on my own to overcome it, but I feel I need help where counselors may fall short. I love my family with everything, and I want to give them so much more, I just need some help overcoming my problem.

I am lying o myself again, and you knows yesterdays a john stopped by my door of my house where I lives and wanted to get me. I am not a whore nor do I want to be but this guy had walked thru a bunch tree branches prob scratching himself to get to my backdoor and to lust, and I feel angry about his insult behavior and you know. and I not going to hole up and you lies to myself about his problems.

Morning all, it's been awhile since I have checked in. I am doing ok, learning a lot about myself specifically the issues I have with shame. I have started a 12step process on shame as I am truly powerless over it and it makes my life unmanageable. Feeling hopeful about this process. I also have had some great meetings with my therapist recently about my childhood wounds and how I have carried them into my adult life. When shame takes over I will isolate and build up tremendous resentments and then use that as a weapon against my wife. The weapon is I won't talk, I will go quiet trying to punish her by not being available and in the end I only hurt myself. Crazy but so grateful for this realization. I hope everyone has a safe day

I have started EA as well Smiller313. I am going to two meetings this week. I feel great to finally get help & to open up. In turn it will help me open up with my wife. I feel the same way Smiller, I would take it out on my wife & kids. This is my new life where I make things right & us what we deserve.

Just checking in. I have been lie free for about 6 days I believe. It feels good. But I'm having a hard time. I'm telling the truth about something and she refuses to believe it. It's something so small. It's breaking me up because I really am telling the truth. It breaks me down mentally sometimes. I feel like I want to just say yes I did do it (even though I didn't) but that would be lying and I'm not about that. I guess in a sense I get to know how she felt when I was lying all the time. This is just hard and something I have to deal with. If I know I'm telling the truth, then I can be happy on the inside.

Bmattrisch - you have to just remind them that you are trying, and even though its hard they have to accept it & be patient. But just keep in mind, its just as hard for them, as it is for you

I appreciate the response it makes me feel good. I am being patient and I do understand them. It has to be hard for them. I'm trying so hard now, I just feel that emotionally I'm so done because no matter what I do it's never going to be good enough. I just want her to know this is hard for me. Some people may think it's funny. They think lying pshh that's no problem. Well it is, I've had a damn hard time with it. I just love this girl and want everything from her. I just want her to see it.

I lied to my wife today. Ive probably lied to her every day since we have been together. I know I need to come clean, I fear the repercussions, I know they have to happen, but that doesnt make it any better. I love her so much. I lie to make myself seem better, to seem ok even. I lie because I hurt. I fear her anger, I fear being weak, I fear hurting her. I want to be a good person, I want to be ok, Im having trouble finding the streangth.
