After my successful FET I was too sick to eat pineapple, but I did eat a chicken Caesar salad wrap. Maybe that's good implantation food too :) Good luck!!! When is your beta?

Great news, rbcurly! I've read you should also try to span the pineapple out over a couple of days. I've been eating a few slices a day since my transfer.

Oh my gosh, how have I not joined this group earlier?! You guys are cracking me up! I guess I'm an August/September gal too. I get my meds tomorrow and start Lupron 8/12, and my retrieval will be early September. Eeek! I'm excited and terrified. My DH leaves for work the day after I start stims, so I guess I'll be throwing darts at my butt solo! I shall name the first one Colonel. :)

Welcome jennakk! Good luck with Colonel!! How long is the hubby away for? The stims go in your stomach and are super easy to do yourself. PIO goes in the butt, but I think you can still do it.

Team Anna went in last night, and it was pretty easy. The build up was not easy. I didn't think I could do it, but I just darted it in and felt nothing! Half of team big Bertha went in this morning. Also easy. The Gonal burned a bit, but now it's fine. Yay! I'm stimming!

I'm on 5 units 2x/day of Lupron, and 225U on Gonal F 2x a day. Isn't that a lot? I read 450 is the max, and that's what I'm doing. I go for bloodwork Saturday, so maybe they will bring it down. I do have low AMH, so maybe they expect me to be a poor responder. Hopefully the side effects are not mean. Also, is it normal to just have blood work? Wouldn't they do an US to see the follies? Too soon?

MRS I am on the same dosages as you except I do 10 units of a Lupron once per day. The last time I stimmed I was on 225 units of Gonal f every day. This time they've got me on 225 for the first 3 days and then dropping to 150. They think my fresh transfer failed last time because my estrogen was way high because they never brought my dose down. I'm sure they'll adjust yours accordingly based on your monitoring.

And YES, I start Lupron tonight. My first one is named Cupcake. I think the second one will be Milkshake :)

I'm actually on 450U of Gonal a day. 225 in the AM, and 225 in the PM. That's a lot, right? But I'm only on it 4 days till BW, so maybe they just like to start strong and I'll taper off.

Gotta trust them I guess!

MRS that does seem high but I suspect that your AMH is exactly why they're starting you off on that dose. You just have to trust that they know what they're doing! Get ready to feel like you're carrying two bowling balls around in your pelvis!

I have POFS, and my doses of Gonal-F tended to be on the higher end. I don't remember exactly what they were off the top of my head, and I'm too lazy to walk into my bathroom to look at my old protocols. (Yes, I'm a FREAK who keeps a binder of my protocols.)

TWW is going. Work drama kicked into high gear today, and I'm trying not to let it get to me. I may break the warm-foods-only diet I'm trying to follow and eat ice cream tonight. I need something ... GOSH I wish I could run! I had horrible hot flashes today (?) and was pretty moody. I hope this is pregnancy talking and not pre-AF.

I did my first Lupron injection (aka Cupcake) tonight and immediately got a hive and a rash. Wtf? Never happened before. I think I'll call my nurse in the morning and see what she says. I talked to her today - she called to tell me that my insurance approved the IVF and I should be hearing from the pharmacy about the rest of my meds any minute :)

Lol. These Autocorrects are nothing compared to the "orgasms" my Autocorrect substituted for "knees" one time. Sadly, I didn't catch this until AFTER it had posted ...

My beta is 08/12, which seems like FOREVER from now.

kDeezy, I've never had that happen with Lupron before, so I'd definitely check that out with your nurse. The only injection I've really had a reaction to is Ganirelix, and all I got was a red, itchy spot for about an hour.

kDeezy: Good luck with milkshake tonight. Sorry for the rash and hives! Did you clean your skin with alcohol? Maybe you had lotion or something that got irritated. I hope it was a one time thing. Congrats on insurance and meds! When do you begin stims?

Alright, the nurse says since Cupcake in the belly made me rashy that I have to try Milkshake in the thigh tonight and see how it goes. She seemed a little mystified since I've taken Lupron before with no problems but she said sometimes the skin on your belly is just more sensitive. Anyone ever do injections in the thigh? I feel like it's going to hurt!

I ate the ice cream with a cat on my lap. And I thoroughly enjoyed it :)

My IVF nurse said an alternative to my stomach was my thigh, but I blanched so badly she said we'd exercise all other options first ... or she'd do it for me. I give you mad props, kDeezy!
