Hello! I am starting my first round of IVF this August! I am taking BC pills now and will hopefully have my transfer 8/29....which is 4 days before the first day of school and I am a teacher! Am I crazy?! Can I really do this? I am scared, but trying to be hopeful. I hope that we get our BFP's this round. Baby dust to all! :)

Naming injections is BRILLIANT! Why didn't someone come up with this sooner! I've been setting mine in a nice cozy box on a TV tray in my bathroom, so you'd think they'd like like that they're getting preferential treatment.

Welcome readyforbfp! Our cycles are pretty close, I will be having my retrieval around the time of your transfer! Have you started injections yet?

As for naming injections - I bust into giggles every time I think about it. I might start naming them after the foods I love but can't eat because it hurts my endo. First up: cupcake.

Hineschicka: Got b/w this morning. Usually they call around 2 or so with results. I'll update my journal after the call. Fingers crossed.

Questions kicking around in my head: Should we name each shot, or days of shots? Do I inject a bunch of Anna's? Or maybe each day is a letter for all names. Maybe Monday I inject Anna, Amanda and Andrea? Haha! That may be too much to remember. But, I'm cracking myself up and that's not too shabby. I figure out my system. :)

You might run out of names before you run out of shots! What are you doing for stims? Are you doing PIO or crinone? These are very important naming questions.

Deezy: Can I just call you Deezy now? It's like a nick name and with all these thoughts on naming, I feel like deezy is super bad ass.

Naming: I'm thinking all the shots of the day will be one name. I'll round up my peeps and inject them all. It makes me laugh the most. I picture all these little skinny needle people by the same name (like a team) all excited to get all up into my skin and butt muscle. So it's settled. And, I'm nuts.

I'm taking Lupron, Gonal F pen, and menopur. Then Novarel trigger and PIO. And some Estradil pills (or whatever) And I think there was some other crap in the box o' meds. Probably just the pre-natals. I guess when I call with day 1 I'll know more. Took my last (I hope) BC this morning.

I like the team name idea ... as long as you come up with some pretty outrageous ones, like the ones you came up with as a kid for your soccer or softball teams. I don't know about you, but thinking about injecting Team Glitter Sparkles (my friend's daughter's cheerleading team name) makes me snort and giggle.

OMG that's brilliant - a ridiculous team name and then naming the team members!! Team Glitter Sparkles is already my second favorite (after Team Big Bertha, of course).

You can absolutely call me deezy (which my phone autocorrects to SEXY I'll have you know!) or you can call me Karen - take your pick ;)

My nurse told me if I don't hear from the pharmacy by Friday to call her. Guess who I'm calling today? Grr. I start Lupron on Tuesday so they need to hurry up and ship the meds and fabulous accessories (ie syringes and alcohol pads). I'm seeing the health psychologist this afternoon so I made sure to wear less mascara than normal. Less than 2 weeks til my suppression check!!

Hineschica, I think Team Glitter Sparkles is brilliant HAHA!! love it! How in the world did we not think of fun names and team names sooner!?? My hubby always helps with the giant butt shots and gives me some mini M&Ms after the shot is over with. Chocolate makes things better in my world :0)

KDeezy I think your autocorrect to sexy is great:0) If I ever get a fancy phone Im wondering if I will have a great autocorrect... I kinda want to test my name out on my hubby's fancy phone now!

Technically Im probably not in the IVF August group, I think I will be considered September when we really start gearing up but I do get my calendar THIS month! I have been following so many of you ladies in the fertility progress department for so long. I am just checking in and want you all to know I am very much cheering you on in a big way from the bottom of my heart :0) Im sending *HUGS & an extra dose of bravery to you all.

I'm technically kind of September too since that's when the transfer and beta will be but whatever. Two months is cooler than one :) I'm so excited for you to get your calendar! Bye bye IUIs!!!

Team Glitter Sparkles is cracking me up! I'm going to make all my names much more interesting now. Anna is day 1, Big Bertha is day 2 (Thanks Deezy) I love that everyone is getting in on this, it's making it even more funny.

Deezy, I love that your phone calls you sexy. Does it get any better? Mine autocorrects to measuring. HA! Dumb. But I guess I'll be doing a lot of cooking while IVFing as opposed to demoing my house :) So it's fitting. Good luck Tuesday. I'm hoping I begin Monday/Tuesday as well!

The Petris are in and hopefully cooking. One didn't survive The Thaw :( so we transferred only three. I'll be writing a new journal shortly.

Our May/ June babies are going to be so super amazing! May would be so cool... my hubby, my dog and myself all have May birthdays :) I wished for it last August, but this August there is so much more hope!
