Well getting closer tomorrow I go down to 10 of lupron instead of 20 and Monday I start estrodol shots in the butt :-/ ahhh then Aug 7 TH they put it n the two embryos hope the FET works !!!!! ******** Sticky Dust to all! ***********

Does anyone have advice for the progestrone shots? I'll be honest, they're scaring the crap outta me!

I took them last time too and thy actually arnt to bad it looks scary but after its done you will be like that's all but I don't to them my self my husband does and I put my head in the pillow lol your a little sore after and after a few I noticed I couldn't lay in my back to sleep I layer on my side and used a body pillow because my stomach hurts to lay on because of the brusing from the lupron shots lol ********* Sticky Baby dust to All! *****"**

Hey ladies, I am not part of your group, but happened to see the PIO question. I have done them 3 different times and this last time was by far the easiest on my butt! LOL After each shot I would massage the area for a good 5 minutes and then on and off throughout the day. I am pretty sure I probably got funny looks at work as I walked down the hall rubbing my butt! But I swear that made the difference because it minimized the welts that cause a lot of the soreness.

Also, if you are a thinner person, ask your nurses what the smallest size needle they will let you use is. I was allowed to use 1inch needles that I think were 25 gauge. So they were shorter and thinner than they automatically prescribe.

Lastly, I know you want to get the shots over and done with, but I did find if I injected the meds slower, it also helped with minimizing the welts.

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely be asking about using the smaller-gauge needles and will use this as an excuse for DH to give me a butt rub :)

Well I am officially suppressing. My projected retrieval is 9/2, so I guess I'm still technically an August-er :) Luprom starts 8/9, suppression check is 8/19. How's everyone doing?

I'm almost done with BC. Thursday should be my last day, unless my TSH is being a dick. Fingers crossed! I'll update my journal soon.

I had my uterus pronounced "beautiful" on Saturday and was given the green light to transfer this Friday. Progesterone shots started last night and weren't as awful as I thought they'd be, but I'm starting to feel some side effects. Four more days for me.

I just got good news for the first time in a LONG time! My suppression protocol is actually significantly shorter this time around! I start Lupron a week from today, stop BCP on 8/11, and have my suppression check on 8/14. My retrieval will probably be in August now!!!

I go for follow up blood work tomorrow morning and I'll have results in the afternoon. If all is good, I begin meds on Monday! Yike! Yay! Ahhhh! I think retrieval will be around the 14th. Today is med delivery day. I plan to take some time to become friends with the needles before needing them. That will help, right? Maybe I will name them.

Hi Ladies- i am not in the group, but I wanted to let you all know I am rooting for you all the month of August with all the retrievals and transfers and shots ( 1st timers and more). I am praying, wishing, heck, voodoo works for me too.

MRS you should name them haha! Then you will learn to love them! I'm waiting on the pharmacy to call with my Lupron info, I can't believe I get to start injections in just six days! I'm so excited, and I haven't felt happy in a long time so this is pretty great :)
