George ... you're generalizing again. (And I'll bet there are some guys who read that stuff.)
I'm in a new relationship now. However prior my ex husband I didn't have that. It was just sex, he never gave me romance, affection, it was just sex, and he always made a point of telling me how dirty it was to please a woman.
I believe into that. So I never pushed the subject I'd hear stories of my friends having these great sex lives, and I'd be jealous but not understand why my husband didn't feel that way. I felt very dirty and unloved, and unsexy.
I know once I had kids and was busy with them, I was not all into sex, because after all it was just about him and not me and well I had kids to take care of.
Now that I am in a new relationship. And my BF would say he found happiness in making me happy. It was different.
I'm not saying your ex had that. I'm sure you loved her and loved pleasing her. But I think sometimes woman as we get older meeting our spouses when we were younger and very jaded as to what Sex, love and romance is really about. Not realizing it's more than just sex but about love and romance and finding someone soul on another level.
it's a shame but I think alot of us do that. At least I did.
Sex and love and affection are so important and should be a very valid and loving part of relationship. It shouldn't be looked down to, but admired for it's tenderness and affection.
Sorry so long.
