To me sex is part of a relationship.
Now granted I have very very rarely ever turned it down, but there have been a few times I was not in the mood, not feeling great whatever and she wanted to, so I did.

I would never expect someone to just give it up because I want it and they do not. But when sexual relations start to become more and more less frequent I would hope my partner would put fourth the effort to do something. Everyone is different though.

Huh ... hormones, depression and medications play havoc with libidos like crazy. Mine never disappeared but went into hiding for a while during the last few months with my ex but it's hard to physically love someone who's behaving monstrously.

For her it did...not for must guys, though...

I believe that after awhile people get in there minds it is over when no talking and no sex.

While some will say that it should come easy if you love someone, when you are in a relationship for a long time, many times people get so comfortable with each other, the sex life does suffer or is not as active as it was when they were first courting. Of course, there are other reasons why it may happen, but being in a committed relationship takes work in all areas, and that includes in this area.

I would hope that if there are two people in a relationship and they are struggling with this area, they would both seek to try new things or maybe even old things to continue to rekindle the spark or make that flame grow stronger.

I did want to try new thing and she said " You want to stick that where".

I agree, ChiTown...trying old things to make it work, could be the key...

That is unless the old things involved swingers or something...

After a while sex gets boring. If the other person is not into new things it will not survive

This *ahem* area, imho, is so susceptible to routine and needs as much work as any other area if not more. It helps if both are open to imagination and creativity. I think women put so much of their value and emotion into how men react to them physically in a relationship that they measure the health of their union by their physicality.

The worst part about the whole process for me, is that I have always been physically attracted to my wife. It would be easier if I found her barf looking...
