First of all, I would like to clarify that this thread is in no way intended to be disrespectful to anyone.
With that being said, I have always wondered how people lose their libido, or desire to have sexual relations. My wife basically lost it all after our children were born. For me this was extremely difficult for me to handle. But I did handle it for years and stood by her side patiently (until she dumped my ass).
Where did the libido go? Should someone in a relationship still make an effort to please their partner even though they have no libido?

How about just plain old reality? Bills. Kids. Family. Social "obligations". Domestic responsibilities. Careers.
Sometimes, we don't make room for sex and intimacy like we should because other things demand our time and energy.
Yes, DAB, I get your point; however, sex...IMO...is an important component of intimacy within the union. You don't have to go at it like banshees, but, a touch, a moment stolen from the mayhem of the children is a token of what is functional. My ex did not touch me for a 2 bloody years before we divorced. Not very good for my psyche. Come to find out, he didn't touch his previous ex for 3 years before she ran off with another man. A compromise is in order to maintain a balance. Me thinks.
