First of all, I would like to clarify that this thread is in no way intended to be disrespectful to anyone.
With that being said, I have always wondered how people lose their libido, or desire to have sexual relations. My wife basically lost it all after our children were born. For me this was extremely difficult for me to handle. But I did handle it for years and stood by her side patiently (until she dumped my ass).
Where did the libido go? Should someone in a relationship still make an effort to please their partner even though they have no libido?

Oh, almost forgot the OP - libido shouldn't be confused with other dysfunction. Libido is natural. Witholding sex as passive aggression is not a lack of libido (projecting!!)

He left, actually took the kids for a few days. I slept for the first time in years....and instantly felt better.
Sometimes it all seems like such a waste.
It would be helpful if partners (I think this applies to both men and women) would be more sensitive to what's going on for each other. Pay attention to their level of stress or sleep deprivation or work load. All these things can detract from your ability to feel desire or desirable. It's just common courtesy really.
When you write the "A due to Lou" be sure and capitalize Protozoa!!!!

Once I said there's no such thing as bad sex if you're in love. I had a few of you falling out of your chairs with that one - what...the...hell! I can hear your laughter from here. Shaddup and lemme explain! Sure we can have an off night physically - that's bound to happen. but when theres love, commitment, romance, and I'll add passion to make it a superfecta.....the emotional aspect of it is always strong. To me that goes hand in hand. Andthing else is...well...empty. As far as any inexperience maybe concerned, well that's something that's learned and grows between two people...and a hell of a lot of fun I might add. Sexual chemistry right off the bat is uncommon. Sad to see that lost when a relationship is suffering. Oddly enough it was never lost in my relationship with my ex, so that never gave me a sign that there was anything wrong with our relationship. Ok, you can get up off the floor now.
I'm going off on tangents here, but I'm just trying to convince myself not to follow my guy friends advice. Freakin' raging libido. Maybe I should start a hornier than thou thread :)
