With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

Yeah it's a great idea. I'm 30 days pull free!!!!!! Wow. It's gone so fast. It hasn't been THAT hard, though I have resisted SOOOOO many urges. Sometimes 10 or more a day. I know that the hard part is ahead, I must not get lulled into a false sense of security. I've been away since monday night, to Stu's parents place on the coast just an hour and a half from where I live. Was a very nice few days, we just ate good and healthy food, went to the beach, and watched movies. Went so fast though! Now I'm home and have work to do.. ick.

I've heard about the couch surfing organization. An old roommate of mine was telling me about it and how she planned on doing that too. Sounds like an adventure!! Some people are just so nice.
Your holiday at the beach sounds lovely. Sun, sea and good food. What more can you ask for.

Hehe thanks everyone!!! Glad you're back Alex. Ha I'm so clingy! Thanks Phoebe :) Can't believe that about hair growing in the sun Granit... I certainly got a lot this weekend it was very hot. I hung out with a bunch of girls who I went to school with over the weekend, we only get together every few months, if that. Was great. Though they always spend hours taking photos which is so annoying!!!!!! They all have beautiful hair.. I don't feel very jealous but I get the occasional pang from time to time.

32 days pull free. Definitely been many hard times. Gotta step up the healthy diet plus exercise regime.. Ick.

It was great talking to you earlier, Im happy you get a lot of sun. I hate when people run around with cameras all the time. And I hate that they put everything on FB. Thats why I closed my account there, Swedish people use FB as a gossip board, all they do is to snoop on each other.

It's the same here. I avoid going on cos I end up stalking everyone. But it's good to stay in contact with people who are far away. It's nice seeing their holiday photos too.

YEAH! It's the same here! So I created a new one under an alias and only add people I see on a regular basis lol. No people from the past or coworkers who dont know me at all!! Yeah.... I end up stalking people too. Human nature!! haha.
The beach sounded lovely. I'm jealous. It is SO cold today.
