Beating Trich Community Group
You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

Yes Manda, awesome! I did it!!!!!! Eeeeeee! Pull free and zero Trich behaviour. Now I have to do it again today, eek.
Barriers are a great help and they are proof that you really are committed :-) good for you!
All of us together have helped each other out in ways that words alone can not express!
Keep those hands busy, hugs instead of tugs, and be in the moment with your brain and body!
Hurrah, for every success, you build a step to the goal, so keep at it!
You are doing great! The feeling of success after a rough few weeks/months can be such a relief!
So I was pull free for two days, then very early yesterday morning, due to high stress and anxiety caused by a stupid phobia, I broke my streak. And binged aaalllll day. I scored an 8. Now that stress is over I'm determined to get back to being pull free again today :)
Barriers aren't fullproof for me either, I'll just take them off and pick or pull anyway. But they do help a lot of the time.
Doing well so far today :)
