Beating Trich Community Group
You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

Ok, sorry for not checking in guys! I've been really busy, schedule all over the place, and I haven't been doing great with my pulling and more often than not I tend to stay away from here if I"m not doing well.
So I can't remember if I told you that I got a full time job or not, but I did. It's great. Exactly what I was looking for but didn't believe I could get. I am loving working so close to home :)
I haven't been monitoring my pulling at all this month, which is very naughty. Because I made a commitment to track my pulling for a year. Oh well. I'll start from today.
Getting my hair dyed in two days, which is nice.
Life has been good. Have had visits from BOTH of my best friends who both live in another state. And my sister is visiting this weekend. It's summer and that's always fun. I'm going to book a holiday for my husband and I soon.
I better put on some barriers and hang my december calendar up!
You aren't in Sydney, are you?
I'm technically in Sydney, western sydney. But I'm an hr from what's happening in Martin place (in Sydney's CBD).
Glad all is well with the job and everything else!
Today I've pulled another 5 or a 6.
You got this covered, keep your hands in the moment, focused, calm, peaceful, and know you are beautiful just as you are right now!
Keep strong!
You sound happy. That is fantastic. You deserve contentment after what you have been through. New Year, new resolutions. Give yourself the opportunity to focus more on fighting this thing, now that the Holiday season is over. You know that you can do pretty much anything you set your mind to.
Ah, my break has been great :) I've recently come back from 5 days in wine country and it was amazing. Christmas was pretty good too.
This year is already looking so much better than last year. I have so much more to be happy about and to look forward to and to be involved in. I've got a job, a bike, I'm going to learn Spanish, I'm learning new (design related) skills, I've got the energy and not just the time to work on my own business, and also my art.
