Age: 60

I am now going on 4+ years divorced. We were married 21 years. Husband wanted out 2 months after bringing 18 year old daughter home from hospital after 6 month recovery from a devastating car accident leaving her paralyzed from the chest down. Found out he was seeing someone from his new job while he claimed we were separated (only 9 months) all the while my daughter was in hospital recovering. OW/coworker was there to listen to him and be his shoulder to cry on (blah, blah, blah). He is now engaged with this woman who lives in another state from him and has never been married nor has the responsibility of children. After the divorce was final I moved 1000 miles away to have my daughter attend a spinal cord recovery center. I have a 23 year old son who recently got a job in San Diego and moved across the country. I\'\'m still recovering from the devastation of divorce. I have been blessed by God that he has opened so many doors for me and my kids. The betrayal has been harder on me than my daughters accident. It has been a struggle with so many issues in this divorce. I never thought this would happen to us, but it has. I have to accept the fact that he\'s not coming back. That\'s been hard on me, but he\'s not a part of my life anymore...total NC! My daughter lives with me still and is slowly making progress in her recovery. She see\'s her dad twice a year (Holiday dad). He has no respect for me nor the care I provide for my daughter or the lifestyle we live. All while he galavants and travels with OW for work on such a lifestyle we never had. It should catch up to him someday...but I won\'t be around to care. I have made a new life for myself and family. I realize the difference between being a family and just having kids. I wouldn\'t change that for the world.
