About Me
My name is Anna Lee (first name!), and I'm 20 years old. I've suffered from depression for as long as I can remember, but the severity increased dramatically when I was diagnosed with a genetic condition called Neurofibromatosis II at the age of 15. I've had numerous brain surgeries and procedures, lost my hearing, have visual problems, balance problems, and facial paralysis on the right side of my face, which has by far been the most difficult thing to deal with. My family has moved many times, and I've been to many different schools. I struggle with suicidal thoughts when my depression is unbearable (which has been quite frequently lately), and I wish for everything to end. I always feel out of place, awkward, and like I can't connect or fit in with anyone, including my family. I'm aware that this "About Me" post is extremely negative, but that is my life! And this seems like the proper place to spill it all out.
