  So it has been a little over a week since my wife and I decided to get divorced. This has affected me on an emotional level beyond anything I have ever experienced. Our relationship was really rough and things got really bad when she had an affair. We tried to pick up the pieces but things just did not work out. I have mentioned all this in my previous posts. I didn't really realize how she made me feel inadequate and I was so lonely because she got jealous when I went out and had forbidden me...

  Today is particularly bad. First weekend after our divorce decision and I am alone. I've been working on my art but everything has become surrounded by this dark cloud. Things are a bit much. I went for drinks with friends last night and as people were leaving I was left alone with 1 of my female friends.   2 days ago my wife of 12 years decided it is time we go our seperate ways(We also have a 11 year old boy). Our relationship has not been sunshine and rainbows and we have been quite unhappy for some time. She had an affair with my best friend about 6 years ago and if I think about it I should probably have ended it back then. I guess I had this delusion that we went through this traumatic event and if we remained married it will automatically get better. I think about it and it did get better...
