I am sitting alone this morning waiting for a flight home thinking about the week. For the first time ever, I am not thinking about all the lies I've told or how to avoid situations that could get me caught in those lies. I'm not worrying about going home to my family who could have heard an untruth or caught me in a lie yet again.

My brain is quiet…peaceful. I like this feeling. I need to become addicted to this feeling instead of the addiction I have to lying.

Hi all, it has been quite some time since I have been on the site. Life has been very busy, and I am glad to say that life is so much better than when I first joined this site all those years ago. Every day still presents itself with those impulses to not tell the truth, but the rewards for keeping on the path of honesty are great. It has been a tumultuous path to reach this point in my life, and there have been losses and repercussions due to my past life of lying. But the reward of living life honestly and facing all it can bring to you is priceless. My thoughts are with all of you out there, and hope that you find the strength and support that I did from all on this site.

Hi, my name is Casey and I am a liar. It has been a month since i last told a lie. I remember feeling sick inside once I told the lie and lost a lot of sleep over it. My family and I were trying to suprise my mother for mother's day. However, my father knew about it and put me in a position to lie to my mother. He knows about my addiction yet chose to do it anyway. He doesn't understand that white lies are still lies.
I guess the main thing is that I recognized the severity and made it right as soon as I was able. People have a hard time understanding addiction if they've never had one. It's easy to say, "Just don't lie". If only it were that easy.
Anyway, it has been a while since I last checked in and needed to get that off my chest. Thank you for listening. God bless as we all face our demons!

Hey everybody, my name is April and I have a serious lying problem. I am going to need a lot of support, because I've been doing it for over 3 years now and I obviously can't stop on my own.

I am Trent and I am a liar. It looks like this thread has been inactive for a long time. This is the type of group that I need right now. I have been kicked out of my house and living in a Hotel for the past few days. I have a daughter and wife that I miss terribly but I know she did it for her own sanity. Anyone else ever been in this situation?
