Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
Welcome to the thread, Ryliegirl. It's always good to see more people participating in the conversation and sharing their experience. I hope you find this a useful tool for your recovery.
As always, good luck to everyone with their personal journey. Keep chipping away at this one day at a time, and you will see improvement. Happy holidays :)
Unfortunately I failed to meet my goal, and am back to 0 days honest. My wife brought up one of my old lies in conversation which she thought was true and I played along as if it was. I felt terrible about it and told her the truth a couple of hours later. I was too scared to admit it in the moment, which is really disappointing. Despite my best effort, I failed to meet my goal, and worse yet, I let down my wife by lying to her yet again. Unfortunately all I can do is learn from this moment and move one. Two weeks of complete honesty continues to elude me, but I will keep trying.
Good luck to everyone with their journey. I hope we can all find honesty and balance in the new year.
