Sorry I've been absent the last few days, been busy at work!! (At least that takes my mind off things!!) hopefully it's not so stressful I've ruined my many days of rest!!
I've just been crampy on and off the last few days, no spotting. Just hoping for the best!!
Karen- hope your lining is doing better! Thinking of you too!!!
Katie, yay on finally being able to trigger!! Our transfers will be within days of each other whether you do a 3 day or 5 day. I'm so excited we get to be tww buddies!!
My check went great yesterday. Apparently that 4th vaginal dose at night was all I needed. I could tell it was doing something because within about an hour I started to get pain and twitching in my ovaries. Sure enough my estrogen level more than quadrupled in just 48 hours! Transfer is 100% on for Thursday!! I started the crinone this morning and this time planned ahead appropriately and bought a monster pack of panty liners. My beta should be March 7 so I think I'm going to take the day off from work so I can stay home and cry all day whether it's a BFP or BFN. Either way I will be a big blubbering mess.
Good plan for taking the day off work. That will make either result so much more manageable to take- like you said, either way!!
I'm not going to POAS. They are hidden by the husband per my request (: I have one more 12 hour shift at work before the beta. Although my job is stressful, I've been able to keep my mind off things!!
Katie- you're ALMOST there!!!!!!!!
Leah, when is your beta again? It seems like the time has flown by since your retrieval and transfer?
I had my retrieval today at 9, it was pretty easy and quick, only issue was that I hate IV's but they got it in the first try! I had minimal cramping on the right side after but it never got above a six so I'll take in comparison to the lap! They got five eggs, which is better than we had thought but still a bit disappointing, Leah I know you understand how I feel. I'll take my own advice though and remind myself that it only takes one (or two)! We will know more tomorrow about how many were mature and fertilized. I've been lounging around all day and tomorrow we don't have school so I get another freebie!
My beta is Tuesday. I've been praying and positive thinking and hoping SO hard!!!
In other news, gave myself my first progesterone injection yesterday. Bruise to ass galore!!!!
Shout out to Karen who's almost done too!!!! Wahoo!!
Hugs to my cycle pals (:
Only two fertilized! I want to cry! And that's only today who knows what will happen between now and transfer! I'm really upset but we still have two so I need to look at it half full (so not used to that view point). All five were mature but then only the two fertilized with icis. The nurse said that the doctor will decide if we do 3 or 5 day transfer, I hope it's a 3 bc I'd rather have a transfer than not at all. So nervous!
I think only three eggs were fertilized and then one didn't make it to the four cell stage. I had 6 eggs extracted and five were mature. I was pretty upset when the nurse told me, so I really wasn't paying as much attention as I should have been.
I can't believe how similar our stories are!! I'm praying we all end up with two pink lines at the end of this cycle!!
And Leah I am DYING to hear your beta results!! I have my fingers and toes crossed and I even braided my hair today!!
My transfer is approximately 48 hours from now, eek! I have been reading up a lot on how to increase success and I don't put much faith in any of the wacky things I'm reading. However I have read a lot of compelling stuff on eating hot foods and drinking hot teas to keep your blood moving. I also read that cayenne pepper is amazing for blood flow so it's lucky I like my food spicy!
Karen we are doing a three day transfer, So I go in tomorrow at 2:15!
The doctor wanted five day transfer, but I said I would be too disappointed if we waited until five and had none so he's "letting" me do a three. When I asked what his reasoning was for a five day the nurse had no explanation so I asked her to please ask if I could do a three day and she said she would. If I had four plus then I'd be more comfortable with a five day, but I only have what I have. I had to repeat to myself over and over again that there is nothing I can do right now. Probably said it 200 times! They didn't have a report on what had made it bc new literature came out that the more you look and move the embryos the worse it is, so I don't know how many are left? Hoping two beauties for tomorrow!
Fx and prayers said for a good day today for Leah, tomorrow for me, and Thursday for Karen!
