I started BCP on 12/26 too!! I had Stage 3 endo (but successfully removed during lap in October). Four failed IUI's (2 before lap and 2 after) and now on to IVF. I received news during my appointment though that I have a low AMH, which they told me was normal for having endo. So I'm not so happy about that :(
My screening ultrasound is 1/13 and then they say I will either have stop the BCP and wait for a period or go straight to the injectables. The nurse told me that it just depends what my lining looks like. Does this sound similar to you?? Happy I have a cycle pal (:

Thank you so much for responding!!! I'd love to be cycle buddies that would be such a great support. I initially had low AMH (1.1) but then after my lap it dropped to 0.33!!!! I about had a heart attack, but my Ivf coordinator said it was normal to drop after a lap, they sometimes see that, however "most of the time" it goes back up. They weren't going to check again but she said we could for piece of mind for me :).

Yesterday when I spoke to her she said it's not always the best indicator of egg quality that they first look at age, so that makes me feel a little better, I hope it brings you some sort of comfort and peace also, way easier said than done, trust me I know!

I'm just annoyed bc we had all of our initial blood panels done in February 13, but they said they expire every six months so we have to redo everything!!!!! Also, my obgyn say that the new standards recommend only having a pap every year and a half, however the RE wants it done every year, so I had to squeeze that in next week too! It will be a breeze in comparison to everything we have been through over the last year, but still add it to the list. Keep me posted! I can't wait until everything begins, it seems like we have been in a lull for a few months and I'm ready to get back in the game!

Thank you for the info about the AMH and the lap!! Maybe mines low because it was only a few months ago!!
Bloodwork is so costly and unnecessary for a monogamous couple! At least most of those labs are unnecessary when it comes to that.
Does your office require a screening ultrasound too? When will you have that??

Stage 4 endo here as well :(

I started BCP on 11/10, then added in 10 units of Lupron on 11/24. Stims started on 12/7 - I took 225 units of Gonal f and 5 units of Lupron until 12/15. Triggered on 12/16, retrieval 12/18, transfer 12/23.

Suppressing was amazing for my endo. Stimming was not. I had constant pain in my right ovary (which always gives me trouble anyway) that only got better after the retrieval but then got worse again. My ovaries are very heavily affected by my endo though, and they hurt me even on good days so it may just have been me.

Lh- totally agree on unnecessary panels! But I guess we gotta do what we gotta do! I don't think I will do a screening ultra, when I asked that she said don't worry, if you have any cysts we will take care of them before we start!?!?

So depending on your lining that will determine what protocol you will do? Why would you wait for a period? I have no experience with this so I am so sorry!!! All she said is that I'll start lupron 1/19.


Kdeezy- thanks so much for your reply!! You made it through, I'm so happy for you are you on the ttw now? If you don't mind we masking, how many eggs did you get? Originally I didn't have many endo symptoms, but since the lap I've had a little more pain and weird things going on near my ovaries! The worst is the constant uterus twitching, it doesn't hurt, just is super uncomfortable and annoying! Fingers crossed and lots of positive thoughts your way! Keep us posted!

The nurse told me that if my lining is too thick then I will need to have a period before we start the drugs for stimulation. (But I've only had a problem with cysts in the past, not lining...) She also said if it were too thin then they would have me take something (maybe estradiol?) to make it bigger.
Hopefully all will be fine and I won't need to have another period. I already purchased what I had hoped was my last box of tampons with the last cycle. Lol, but I think this every month!!

Oh ok that makes sense! I think the exact same thing every single time I buy tampons, every single period, and every single cycle. Sometimes I even get superstitious about weird things, this whole process is so mentally taxing!

I am not in the tww. I started to bleed 6 days after my transfer. They moved my beta up and it was negative which sucks because the blast was perfect and so was my lining. I should be doing a FET in February.

I wound up with 13 follicles and 9 eggs; 8 of which fertilized and made it to day 5. We transferred the one that didn't take and have 3 that made it to freeze.

I was very discouraged for a lot of my cycle because my ultrasounds on days 3 and 5 only showed a single follicle. Then on day 7 they saw 5, and on day 9 they finally saw all 13. Don't count your chickens before they hatch!!

I am so sorry, it's such a crazy, emotional, and can be discouraging ride, but I'm hopeful we will all be able to be the parents we want so badly to be! I hope this cycle we all get out bfp!

Any updates? We are scheduled to go in 12/15 to finish the paperwork and my hunny needs to provide a sample that will be frozen just in case something goes wrong and they need it. Then I will get our "calendar" of events!!!

One thing I've been thinking a lot about was when the nurse said "we will take care of them?" Meaning if I had another endo cyst. Do you think I'd have to be put out? I'm gonna clarify next Wednesday, but I'm a little nervous as to what that entails! Hi Katie!! I'm Leah (: No updates, just waiting till 1/13 for my screening US!!
I was told that being on Oral BC pills drastically reduces/eliminates my cysts. So, hopefully yours will be gone too!! (P.S. Mine will grow back like wildfire.... But I expect it). My RE said they could remove/pop the cysts the same way they take out the eggs during a retrieval. Of course, his office charges 2 arms and one leg for it. So, hopefully we won't need it either!!

I'm excited for the u/a so I can have a better idea of what to expect. My husbands work is pretty inflexible, so kind of stressed about that. I'll also have to call in... (We're short staffed & the hospital isn't granting any vacation time.)
I've organized my meds in a tote drawer and labeled them like a need. I also made a 3 ring binder for IVF paperwork. Mostly making myself busy to feel better during the wait!
Have you been doing anything like this??

My tubal cyst is 3.8 cm :( So bummed the birth control didn't work like they said it would. Just waiting on the bad news from my doctor now. I'm sure he'll make me wait another month. But we have a vacation already scheduled in early March.
I'm just so worried about everything :((((
