I'm scheduled for a 5 day transfer, Saturday at 9:30am, YAY.
Acupuncture before and after as well.
Anyone know why the 5 day transfer opposed to a 3? Just a question....
is it too late to join this forum?
i've been taking provera for the last 7 days, today cd 20 i had a endometrium biopsy or 'endometrial scraping' which is meant to help with implantation in this cycle. Hoping for af to show up in the next few days and then we start stimmimg. This is our 2nd ivf cycle (1st ivf cycle resulted in 2 fet's but no bfp's). Re has said that we're going to go very gentle with the protocol a last time I had OHSS and thus wasn't able to do a fresh cycle - really want this to be a fresh cycle. Fingers and toes crossed for this one - I'm hoping and praying for a bfp for christmas!
sticky dust to all you ladies x
Seems like a lot of good stories in here..best wishes to all!
I'm on CD 10.... have follies, but they are still too small to count... Stronger protocol so I am happy to see it going slowly....Good side is they say thayt my MEds which take me to Sunday are enough and I don't need refills..that must be a good sign!
@ADK...Numbers sound good for me! Hoping they stay strong!! Good Luck
Adkgirl... I was told by one of the nurses at my office that they do a day 3 transfer when the embryos are a poor quality or there are only a few embryos that survived. Day 5 transfers are when you have more than a few embryos and they want to see which ones are the strongest on the day of the ET. Hope it all goes well and keep us posted.
One question I have is for anyone on lupron when did u stop it and start the stim meds? Also how long has anyone been on the stim meds before the ER? Just curious as I've been on lupron for 5 days and just received my gonal and menopur today. I have an appt on thurs at my RE office. Thanks and have a good night everyone !
Welcome to all the newbies whom I haven't welcomed. I've been MIA as I'm not that far along and I'm trying to not get anxious about it all.
FINALLY the insurance stuff went through and the drugs are supposed to deliver tomorrow. I start injections on Nov 26th which is great as it's past the holidays and I won't have to think about it around my sister's little ones.
Hope everyone is doing ok, and I wish lots of baby dust for our group.
Melry, thanks for the clarification, so basically better to do a 5 day transfer.....given my embryo's are probably good quality.
Also, I took Lupron with my Bravelle and Menopur.....As one injection, so I'm not sure of your stim schedule, but I started my injections on a Thursday and had my ER on day 15 of my cycle.......hope this helps.
just trying to figure out where all of you are in your cycles -
meryl & endowife, you strart stimming shortly, right?
jewel, your currently stimming?
adkgirl, best of luck with your transfer on sat
apologies to those i haven't caught up with yet - i'll be on here a whole lot more from now on so hopefully i'll get to know everyone.
we had our u/s today and all went well so i start gonal f tonigh - 150 for 3 days and then bloodwork and u/s on sunday.
please gold let this be the one that delivers!
sticky baby dust to you all x
Endo..glad to hear from you! I agree starting after thanksgiving would be better! I'm a nervous wreck because my cousin whom lives out of state will be there and she just announced she's pregnant with her second. Ugghh not looking forward to it!
Adkgirl...Can I ask you about the acupuncture ? I've overheard a few girls in my RE office talking about it. Is this something you've always done or did u start it due to IF?
i started last night with 150 gonal f (thur, fri & sat) and then bloodwork and u/s on sunday. Re wants to go slowly due to OHSS last time.
Melry, I'm also doing acupunture. there have been various research studies linking acupunture to better outcome with IVF- my RE recommends it.
Well girls, I am in a pickle..Dr. told me to order more Gonal F due to longer cycle... Pharmacy called last night that I have reached my lifetime coverage. Over $800 per penl, so she offered me $90 back on each..ummm what difference does that make? So Ihave through Black Friday, praying that is enough...If I have to do another cycle I will stress over that then.
Jewelz...I feel your pain with the meds. I dont have coverage for the medication but I cant complain because my insurance pays for 1 IVF cycle. We just paid close to $5,000 for the Menopur and Gonal F. I laughed when the pharmacist told me not to worry because the Gonal has a rebate of $400. Not a big deal in my opinion since that alone is costing us $3,500!! But i guess any penny we can save counts for something! Instead of paying for the entire prescription, I paid for half. Just in case my RE decreases the dose and I end up not needing the entire prescription.
Nive...I'm starting on 375 of the Gonal and have a f/u appt for bloodwork and an U/S in 4 days to see how that is working out. I start this evening. Nervous but excited!
ADKgirl...best of luck tomorrow! I'll be thinking of you and hope it goes well!!!
