I just got my call - 12 eggs (8 mature), 7 fertilized. we won't know until tomorrow whether it will be a day 3 or day 5 transfer.
Then I was reading on-line and some docs recommend up to 1 week bedrest! Everywhere I turned said no sex or orgasms for the 2WW, try to stay lying down for 60 minutes after implantation...these all seem somewhat stricter than what my doc said. I just need to trust my doc, right?
I do know no sex. UGH! I wanted to do DH before hand but he refused saying we needed an extra day for an excellent speciment. lol. Hoping I feel better by tomorrow to want to do it with him...
i'm feeling a little down. had lunch with a really good friend today and her 4mth old daughter. we talked baby, baby, baby - hers. She didn't even ask how my treatment was going (she's the only one I've told). I feel like a non-person, like without a baby I have nothing to contribute.
This friend has a whole new world - she fitted me in for lunch today as the mother and baby group she was meant to go to was cancelled. And now we've another lunch scheduled next wk - with another friend of mine who I introduced her to. So, it'll be me, 2 mothers and their 2 babies.
Its too much
...
I know there is a plan out there for us, I just really wish I knew what it was. I really wish I understood so many things right now.
its horrendous, the pain.
talk care of yourself, let hubbie take care of you and lean on each other.
there is a plan...thus, there is hope.
x
Please stay hopeful, the answers are in your future. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow...but I know good things are coming for you.
I'm crying with you...
i test on sat, am a nervous wreck, trying to stay positive but its hard.
i'll do my best to make you smile with a BFP on sat! x
I'm still so sad by hopeful's news. Damn infertility! It doesn't have us beat damn it.
So heard from the doc today: 2 are 4 cells, 2 are 3 cells, and 3 are 2 cells so we're going for a day 5 transfer on Saturday. I kinda wish it were a day 3 so the 2WW would be faster...but whatever. I'll have to be patient.
DH wants to get a hotel room across the street from the clinic so we don't have to drive an hour after the procedure. What do you think? nuts? or slightly reasonable?
