My pain is well controlled, and I went for a walk today, but my stomach is off and has been for about a day and a half now. Still, not enough to keep me down. :)

Well I am recording on the voice recognition program so forgive my mishaps , what a week! The previous week I was having a bunch of three days and what a joy that was! I even got a peek Adam number one day if you can believe it then because I was feeling so wonderful I overdid it last Tuesday and slowly my pain level has been increasing all week . I can't tell you how difficult it is to get a peek at number one and then be slowly sliding back all week and now I am at number 5 to 6 I am going to start working with a psychologist to try to understand why my pain levels bounce all over the place. What do people really expect from their pain medication? If you are at a pain level VI and you take some strong narcotic medication, doesn't really knock your pain down to level III? I am already taking OxyContin 40 mg twice a day and OxyCondone 30 mg every three hours as needed . I'm taking the Oxi condo three times a day. I really hesitate to take any stronger medication, but at the same time could I get some relief? My wife of 31 years feels that it's anxiety and the real answer for me lies in psychological counseling rather than increased pain medication thanks for listening dear friends, I just don't feel I have much to contribute right now in mad I don't have many answers. Hey Hank,
There's nothing wrong with being to a point where you see a psychologist. I personally don't, but I did spent 2 1/2 hours with one before my SCS trial, and I enjoyed it. I think he was actually trying to get rid of me. You seem like a good family man and following the path you're on seems to make sense to me. I wish you nothing but the best.

@ hank - I see one and I am not ashamed to admit it. The cards I was delt are not easy to deal with and I need help with the process. I know it is harder for men but we are only humane and can only handle so much.

I was scared in the beginning, I felt weak and ashamed to go but now, after two years, I am so very grateful I had the courage to admit I needed some help. Please PM me if you need to.

I really need a shoulder tonight...not just because I have a bad one. Nothing is touching my pain and I'm starting to feel a little desperate. It doesn't help that I'm alone.

I am glad I found this support group as I feel alone. Not happy to see so many others with chronic pain. Gentle hugs to all!

My Mom is always saying she wants to come down and stay with me and my Sister will do anything to e helpful.

When I'm feeling this miserable, I don't want the added stress of company. M Mom is getting a little crotchedy in her old age and suffocates me...AND lectures me! My Sister is wonderful, but a bit hyper to be around very long.

So...I've had a dog on my lap and I think I've had all I can take of this pain for one day. Time for Trazodone and, hopefully, sleep.

cherrychanga, you can cry on my shoulder. Really sorry your going thru this. Know sometimes it's like a roller coaster ride when it comes to Drs. and getting thru to them what your dealing with.It's especially frustrating to go thru the work of going in for an office visit, talking and then feeling like the Dr. did not really hear you, sometimes walking away w/scripts. that don't work well if at all. Wish there was a better way for you, me and all the rest of us going thru this. It seems so unfair,so wrong. Pray your visit goes well on Monday.
