on the matter regarding a dating relationship. i have been dating a woman for a out 3 months, and she is starting to dictate who my friends are. I have a female friend that is like a sister to me and I am now being told that I talk to and visit her way to much. C (the lady I am dating) doesn't have a problem if I hang out with my guy friends and do whatever..... but she doesn't believe that males and females can be friends with out hanky panky going on.......Several women on the boad know me, and we have hung out at some meetups......I consider them as friends and can talk and visit, the feel as if they are family. This seems like she is asking me to give up family.....and I am fairly sure the next step will be to not hang with the guy friends...... and then family....I have

And this occurrence of friendship crossing the line isn't some rare thing that doesn't happen all that often. There are books and studies about this....
In situations where things crossed a line, they probably were "just friends" at some point.
Just because you would never let it happen doesn't mean it wouldn't or doesn't happen more frequently than you might know about (or, care to admit).
